How Understanding The Tabernacle Of David Can Set You Free Before God [2nd service, 23 March 2008]

HOW UNDERSTANDING
THE TABERNACLE OF DAVID
CAN SET YOU FREE BEFORE GOD

23 March 2008
Resurrection Sunday (2nd Service)
The Woman with issue of blood can be viewed as a type of the Church who cannot conceive seed to produce the champion generation. A picture of the Church trusting in her own righteousness. The moment Jesus touches her – it is the end of self-righteousness and the beginning of fruitfulness.
The daughter of Jairus was 12 years old. It can be interpreted that as long as Church is trusting in her own self-righteousness, her children are sick. Jesus puts this little girl under His robe of righteousness – talitha kumi – little girl under the talith (prayer shawl) and she arises!
Lesson: We have got to throw the robe of righteousness over our kids and even the spiritually dead will arise!
In Mark 5:37, Jesus brought along Peter (i.e. Stone) James (i.e. Supplant) and John (i.e. Grace) when he went to heal the little girl. Grace replaces / supplants the Law (stone) and brings victory!
Jesus told the people to give the little girl food to eat. This probably means that she died because of wrong food given to her. Spiritually, the wrong kind of teaching was given her. Probably legalistic teaching. The Law kills and the Spirit gives life!
But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day [is] with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.” 2 Peter 3:8

“After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.” Hosea 6:2

And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there:” John 2:1
We are in very early in the 3rd day in 2008. It has been 2000 cubits since the Ark (type of Jesus) and the priests crossed into the Jordan river. Maranatha!
“And Solomon awoke; and, behold, [it was] a dream. And he came to Jerusalem, and stood before the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and offered up burnt offerings, and offered peace offerings, and made a feast to all his servants.” 1 Kings 3:15
One sign of true wisdom is that upon receiving it, the receiver, as demonstrated in Solomon goes in search for Jesus Christ & Grace, as typified in the ark of the covenant and abandons justification by the Law.  The ark of the covenant was in the Tabernacle of David. Whilst the Mosaic Tabernacle was at Mount Gibeon.
The mercy seat in the ark of the covenant is SOLID gold because it represents the entirely divine finished work of Jesus Christ. The finished work was done for and from GOD.
The holiest nation on earth is Israel. The holiest city in Israel is Jerusalem. The holiest site in Jerusalem is Temple.  The holy of holies in the Temple where the ark rests in the holiest spot in the Temple. The mercy seat is the central part of the ark of the covenant.
Therefore, the mercy seat or grace is the holiest item. Grace cannot be separated from holiness.
The ark of the covenant as a whole represents the work and person of Jesus Christ.
“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”  – Psalm 91:1
“So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.” Genesis 3:24
Genesis 3:24 is the first mention of sword guarding the way to Eden. The last mention of sword in OT is Zechariah 13:7.
“Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and against the man [that is] my fellow, saith the LORD of hosts: smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered: and I will turn mine hand upon the little ones.” Zechariah 13:7
The sword found its rest in Jesus Christ.
“In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches [Hebrew - perets Strongs' #6556] thereof; and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old:”      Amos 9:11
That they may possess the remnant of Edom, and of all the heathen, which are called by my name, saith the LORD that doeth this.”    Amos 9:12
“Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him that soweth seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine, and all the hills shall melt.”    Amos 9:13
And I will bring again the captivity of my people of Israel, and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit [them]; and they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine thereof; they shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them.”                Amos 9:14
And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them, saith the LORD thy God.” Amos 9:15
The word “breaches” in Amos 9:11 is probably a reference to Uzzah who used his hand to steady the ark of the covenant i.e. picture of self-righteousness.
“And David was displeased, because the LORD had made a breach upon Uzzah: and he called the name of the place Perezuzzah [Breach of Uzzah] to this day.”   2 Samuel 6:8
The word “Edom” in Amos 9:12 is probably a reference to Obed-Edom (red) whose family followed the ark and prospered!
THE Message Bible says that it is our lives which are peripheral to the  Kingdom of God and it is not the Kingdom of God which is peripheral to our lives.
The Tabernacle is in the centre of encampment of Israel. The Church and God must be the centre of our lives and not work!
The Tabernacle of Moses speaks of being unable to approach GOD.
King David had the heart to bring the ark of covenant (Jesus Christ) back to Jerusalem unlike Saul. That’s why God ‘liked’ David.
Howbeit the LORD God of Israel chose me before all the house of my father to be king over Israel for ever: for he hath chosen Judah [to be] the ruler; and of the house of Judah, the house of my father; and among the sons of my father he liked me to make [me] king over all Israel:” 2 Chronicles  28:4

“When I remember thee upon my bed, [and] meditate on thee in the [night] watches. Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice.” Psalm 63:6-7.

King David loved to spend time in the presence of the LORD and even meditated in the night watches before the ark of the covenant. He probably even slept in the presence of  the LORD regularly. For there to be “shadow” he must have slept near the ark. David knew he would not die in the presence of the LORD (Psalm 91 – He who dwells in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty) and this is a picture of complete confidence in Jesus. It shows that truly being in the presence of GOD was now a new and living way and David could cultivate friendship with the LORD in a place where no evil could come near.

If you have a heart for Jesus Christ like David and exalt Him like David did and align yourself with God’s kingdom purposes, God will surely bless you, just as he blessed David.

David placed the ark of the covenant under a tent without any veil!
There were 2 tabernacles operating at the same time during David’s reign.
There’s music and dancing in Davidic tabernacle and silence and seriousness in the Mosaic tabernacle.
Praise & Worship / Charismatic move is not the main aspect of the Tabernacle of David. The central aspect is the revelation of Jesus Christ and Rest in Him!
In Tabernacle of David, everybody can approach even those who have sin. Nobody died even though they approached and they had sin.
Heb 10:19 “Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,”
Heb 10:20 “By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;”
Jesus Christ is greater than Time because He created Time. Therefore, he can die outside time for ALL.
Kula – Hebrew – for it is Finished!
Holy Spirit witnesses that our sins and lawless deeds, He remembers no more.
In O.T. the more you come, the higher chances of you dying. In the N.T. the more you come, the more you abound with life!
For the law having a shadow of good things to come, [and] not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.”          Hebrews 10:1
For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins.” Hebrews 10:2
But in those [sacrifices there is] a remembrance again [made] of sins every year.” Hebrews 10:3
For [it is] not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.” Hebrews 10:4
“Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.” Hebrews 10:9
By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once [for all].” Hebrews 10:10
“And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:”   Hebrews 10:11
“But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;” Hebrews 10:12
“From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.” Hebrews 10:13
“For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.” Hebrews 10:14
“[Whereof] the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before,” Hebrews 10:15
” This [is] the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;” Hebrews 10:16
And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.” Hebrews 10:17
Now where remission of these [is, there is] no more offering for sin.” Hebrews 10:18
Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,” Hebrews 10:19
