The Blessing of the LORD maketh rich in EVERY area. In contrast, many in the world are rich materially but poor spiritually.
True transformation is via Grace of God and is effortless. Jesus Christ gives heart transformation, while man’s efforts or methods only result in temporary behaviour modification.
Gal 3:13-14 “Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed [is] every one that hangeth on a tree: That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.”
Faith does not make something real. It is already real. E.g. Whether or not you believe in the existence of the sun is immaterial, the sun still shines. Jesus can be likened to a boat. Whether you believe in the boat is immaterial in a sense. The boat itself saves you and keeps you afloat. But when you believe in the boat, Jesus call this faith. The belief in the boat does not save, the belief in the boat secures you and causes you to rest.
There was financial turbulence in Jesus’ day as well. Yet He multiplied the 5 loaves and 2 fishes. Jesus is the same today in these days of financial upheaval as well.
The day we can measure God’s riches, it is the day we know the extent of his supply. God’s riches are infinite!
Ephesians 1:7 “In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace”
Ephesians 1:7: We have forgiveness. We are not trying to obtain forgiveness!
The day you can lay out the riches of God’s Grace, that day you know how forgiven you are. But this is impossible. We are forgiven infinitely!
Heb 8:6 “But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.”
The more you say it, you see it [the blessings].
Curses in Deu 28 are in the permissive tense – God does not cause them, He permits them. Unfortunately, modern translations of the English bible do not bring this across.
Deu 28:29 “And thou shalt grope at noonday, as the blind gropeth in darkness, and thou shalt not prosper in thy ways: and thou shalt be only oppressed and spoiled evermore, and no man shall save [thee].”
JESUS dies at the Cross at noonday and the whole earth was plunged into darkness as the sun refused to give its light (this astronomical event was recorded even in the annals of ancient China).
JESUS died at the Cross so that we shall not grope at noonday! and so we shall prosper in our ways!
Deu 28:38-40
Deu 28:30 => Adultery is a curse. It is a result of breakdown in communication between husband and wife.
Deu 28:32 => Losing your children to “another people” i.e. drugs, to gangs and to rampant video-gaming etc is a sympton of the curse.
Jesus has redeemed all of us from the curses written in Deu 28! Hallelujah!
Numbers 5 – These are the penalties you are faced with under the Law.
Num 5:2 “Command the children of Israel, that they put out of the camp every leper, and every one that hath an issue, and whosoever is defiled by the dead”
The Law disqualifies us!
Note in the Jesus ministry, He cleansed the leper, He healed the woman with the issue of blood, and he raised from the dead the widow from Nain whose only son had died (Luke 7)! He reversed Num 5:2!
The widow of Nain (meaning: place of beauty) was defiled according to the Law and was put out of the city of Nain, the place of beauty. Jesus restored her and her son back to the place of beauty by resurrecting her son.
In Matt 8, Jesus healed the leper. Leper had not been touched all these years. Jesus touched him. Jesus also made him aware that He was not only able BUT also willing to heal him! We too much stand firm that Jesus is willing to heal us!
Dead Corpse => Sin by association / relation
Discharge => Active sinning
Leper => Passive sinning
JESUS has taken on and redeemed us from all 3 categories of sin! Amen!
The first blessing of Abraham is righteousness apart from works and wealth!
Under Grace, the clean touch the unclean and the unclean become clean! Jesus had compassion and he healed the people!
