The Beloved David – Meditations On The Hebrew Lettering (PART II)

Hi Folks !

Remember the verse I ended of on in my last e-mail.

It was Isa 22:22 “And the key of the house of David will I lay upon his shoulder; so he shall open, and none shall shut; and he shall shut, and none shall open. “

We all know this verses refers to JESUS.

But check out the preceding verse Isa 22:21 “And I will clothe him with thy robe, and strengthen him with thy girdle, and I will commit thy government into his hand: and he shall be a father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to the house of Judah. “

In the midst of the words “I will commit thy government into his hand” are the untranslated Hebrew words ALEV – TAV אֶתֵּwhich correspond to Greek ALPHA – OMEGA which in turn is the signature of Jesus Christ .

To verify what I mean, check out the Hebrew Interlinear at http://www.scripture4all.org/OnlineInterlinear/OTpdf/isa22.pdf

Hallelujah !

Anyway going back to DAVID:

דָּוִד

Dalet – Vav – Dalet

Don’t you think, the symbols of the Dalet on the right and left of the Vav resemble wings?

Perhaps wings of the Cherumbim?

We see in the first book of the Bible in Genesis 3:24 “So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.”

At this point in time, the cherubim guarded the Dalet the doors to to Eden and the tree of life, the Vav.

By the time of Revelation, the final book we have in Rev 3:7-8 “And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth; I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name. “

In fact, check out Rev 22:2 “In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, [was there] the tree of life, which bare twelve [manner of] fruits, [and] yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree [were] for the healing of the nations.

Notice again the number of “2″ s in that verse ! 2 signifying the second member of the trinity — Jesus!

The way is open !

We see cherubim being next mentioned in Exo 25:18

“And thou shalt make two cherubims [of] gold, [of] beaten work shalt thou make them, in the two ends of the mercy seat. “

Praise Jesus, we know that the ark of the covenant speaks of Jesus but check this out in the interlinear

http://www.scripture4all.org/OnlineInterlinear/OTpdf/exo25.pdf

You will again see ALEV TAV not translated into English in the midst of the words of “make them, in the two ends of the mercy seat.”

Hallelujah !!!

What are the centre verses of the Bible ? http://www.prayerfoundation.org/not_center_verse_of_bible_118_8.htm

Psalm 117:1-2 ” O praise the Lord, all ye nations: praise him all ye people. For his merciful kindness is great toward us, and the truth of the Lord endureth forever. Praise ye the Lord.”

At the heart of the bible — the Word of God — Jesus is “merciful kindess” which is in the Hebrew — hesed !!! which we understand and know is GRACE !!!

That Grace is only possible because of Jesus !!

http://www.scripture4all.org/OnlineInterlinear/OTpdf/psa117.pdf

Check out the Hebrew interlinear änd you will notice that after the “O praise the Lord” is ALEV TAV which is untranslated !!!!

Because Jesus was pierced VAV in between the DALETs we have Grace. ! Looking at it in another way, in between the opening Dalet book of Genesis and the closing Dalet book of Revelation, Jesus was pierced VAV and we receive Grace !

Interestingly, we also see that David knew very much about the Gracious heart of God. That is why we so much of that in the Psalms these references …

Psalm 36:7 “How excellent [is] thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings.”

Psalm 63:7 “Becausse thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice.”

Psalm 91:1 “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”

David also spent literally much time in the shadow of the wings of the cherubim of the ark of the covenant !

Recall another individual who practises and personalises the love and grace of Christ for himself — JOHN — in the New Testament.

See also that the picture of the ark of the covenant also appears only in John’s gospel, and only in this gospel !

John 20:12 “And seeth two angels in white sitting, the one at the head, and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain. “

One at the head and one at the feet . Resembles 2 cherubim above the mercy seat of the ark of the covenant.

Interesting isn’t it?

David — is the OT personality who really knows the gracious heart of God and personalises God’s love for him. His name means “beloved”.

We see the literal ark of the covenant lots in David’s life.

Then we look at NT and we see John who also really practises and personalises the love of Jesus for himself. And we the ark of the covenant in a figurative form in John 20:12 !!!

What’s more interesting that the book of Revelation was written by John and we saw earlier that those references to David were from Revelation !!!!

The scriptures are so beautiful and symmetrical .

HALLEJUAH !!!

Rev 22:21 “The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ [be] with you all. Amen.”

Best,

Terence
