I just realized that Ascension Day in 2010 was 13 May 2010.

Ascension Day is still celebrated as an official public holiday in some countries like Sweden, Norway, Austria, Germany, etc. This day marks the ascension of Jesus Christ and comes forty days after the celebration of Easter and the resurrection of Jesus.
Interesting. So when Dr Goh Keng Swee ascended to Heaven on 14 May 2010 in the morning (Singapore time). It was still Ascension Day (13 May 2010) in some parts of the world.
Very interesting also that the state funeral for Dr Goh will be held on 23 May 2010.
This date is Pentecost Sunday for 2010 which celebrates the falling of the Holy Spirit on us !
