180 — We shall live to One Hundred and Eighty!
There’s a common exhortation that we should declare to ourselves that we should live to 120, following Moses’ example (Deu 34:7).
But Moses was a type of the Law.
As New Covenant Believers, we are all the spiritual seed (Rom 4:13-16) of Abraham.
Abraham lived to 175 (Gen 25:7).
Isaac, his natural seed, lived to 180 (Gen 35:27).
That Isaac’s live is marked by God’s Grace is abudant is scripture and is also illustrated in the fact that he lived 5 years longer than his father. 5 being the number that signifies Grace in Bible numerology.
So as we mark Reformation Day – 31 October, let’s emulate the original hero of FAITH and speak to our bodies and declare – we shall live to ONE HUNDRED and EIGHTY (180) — for the JUST shall LIVE by FAITH (Rom 1:17).
Shalom !

I have only just found this blog, how wonderful!! Yes!!! I said to my husband only yesterday ‘ why exactly, must we live only to 120 years’. Jesus has removed the curse of the law, at the greatest price….His own life!! So if there is no more curse and no more law for us, and our forgiveness is absolute….then why can we not just, go on living…..and even remain until our beloved Jesus comes!! Is this partly what Jesus meant when he said ‘I am come that they might have life and have it more abundantly (KJ version). The amplified version says..life to the full till it overflows!! Glory and honour to our precious saviour Jesus!!!!!!
