Summary:  From Jacob’s blessing of his 12 sons, we learn how God consistently makes provision for His people long before a crisis hits.  There will also be a transfer of wealth from the people of the world to God’s people in these last days for the gospel’s sake before Jesus returns. This prophetic sermon helps us understand past and current world events, and  gives us a blessed hope for our futures!

I reproduce the text of his notes here for convenience:

<BEGIN QUOTE>

Start of sermon

Pastor Prince: “Before we begin, I want to share with you a testimony. Last 2 weeks we celebrated CNY, and on that Monday the church board invited me and some others to go over to the one north site to hear updates about the building, because now we have reached level 5, where our auditorium is. I told my assistant to prepare Holy Comm. and anointing oil, and what an awesome sight. When I was there, I asked the project manager which direction was One-North facing. I never asked this before, and left it to the architect to decide which direction would best benefit us.  And he said, it faces east. Now that’s interesting cos the tabernacle of Moses faces east, the temples of Solomon faces east, and every temple of God faces east. The holiest of holies is on the west. I’ve always said for many years now, that I would love to preach from the holiest of holies. Not an outer court preaching, but that my message would always be from between the wings of the cherubim, from the mercy seat. Not a condemning word, but a word of grace and mercy. Now, all of you will be in the east, facing west, and I’ll be preaching from the west, facing east, from the holiest of holies. Isn’t that awesome? And we didn’t plan for it. Plus, our auditorium is on lvl 5, number of grace. You been with us long enough, you would know some bible numeric. =)

So we were up there and we had communion, and we prayed that all the workers there would be blessed, and that their work would prosper, and then out of my spirit came out these words that surprised me when I said it. I said; “And let there be no death among the workers”. Those who were there heard me say it loud. Then we anointed the place with oil.

Just last week, on Thursday, we received news that a worker had fallen off from the fifth floor all the way to basement 1. Now, our fifth floor is about the equivalent of 8 floors high, as our levels are thicker.  So this worker fell on an aluminum layer put there in case someone from the lower levels fell. It was never meant to catch anyone from that height. But all the man suffered was a broken foot. Praise be to God, no death. Hallelujah.”

Today’s sermon is on bible prophecy.

God is a God that prepares for His people. Long before there is a challenge facing you, God has prepared an answer. Long before Adam fell, the Lamb of God was slain from the foundation of the world.

Do you know the bible says God goes ahead of you and prepares the way? So that when the children of Israel stepped into the land flowing with milk and honey, they will live in houses they did not build, they will drink from wells they did not dig, and they will eat from trees they did not plant.

God goes ahead and prepares for us, and drives away the squatters on the land that belongs to the Lord and the fullness thereof, and He gives to who He wills. And you do not need to strive, you don’t need to constantly work overtime because God has a portion, God has a place, God has an inheritance for you no one can take from you.

Now, let’s talk about Bible prophecy and what the lord has for us today.

¼ of the bible is prophecy. The very first one was when God said: ”The woman’s seed will crush your head.”

Jesus said something will happen before He returns. The Bible says in the end times will come scoffers, people who will scoff at the idea of the 2nd coming. They will say “Where is He? Where is His coming?” but the Bible says He is delaying His coming as He is long suffering, and not willing that any should perish. He is waiting for man to turn back towards home, turn back towards grace and His love, and turn back towards Him as their source of every good thing in their life.

But one day, God will say:”Ok! Jesus, go back and claim your bride.”
Then there will be the rapture, and although the word “rapture” is not recorded in the Bible, the event is, and God will reverse the laws of gravity and we’ll all have a brand new body immediately, forever strong, healthy and forever young, never to die again, and we’ll be with the Lord forevermore.

So Jesus says there will be some signs before it happens.

24 And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and be led away captive into all nations.

This happened in 70AD, when the Romans came in to Jerusalem and Israel was led captive into all nations. That’s why we have Jews in ALL nations across the earth. For 2000 years they have been in the Diaspora. Until 1948, God brought them back into the promised land against all odds. You must understand they are hated by the devil because the Savior of the world came as a Jew. And God keeps his covenant with Abraham and God sent the savior through this chosen race, the Jewish people. But because they have rejected Jesus Christ, Jesus said” You have rejected the very one who wants to cover you with his wings like a mother hen who covers her young, but you would not.” And that explains how they were exposed to horrors like Adolf Hitler. These things are because the devil hates them.

And Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.

Since 70AD, for 2000 yrs, Jerusalem was under the control of the gentiles. The Romans, then the Mamaluks, then in more recent times we had the Byzantines, then the Turkish, then finally the British took over. In 1917, General Allenby marched into Jerusalem without firing a shot and liberated Jerusalem. He was a Christian and believed the Bible and told the Jews in Europe to come back and take possession of their land once more. But many of the Jews were now wealthy and ingrained in the European countries and refused to come back. Had they come back, in 1917, they would have avoided the Holocaust. Then, in 1948, against all odds, they became a nation once again. God caused the world to be more sympathetic and have a soft spot for the Jews because of what they had gone through and allowed them all to return to the land that God had given them.

However, Jerusalem was not yet in their hands. In 1967, in the 6 day war, it was theirs. Their battles are amazing. They are always outnumbered 5 to 1, sometimes 10 to 1, and like for example, Yom Kippur War in 1973, they were severely outnumbered. Yet, the enemy nations lost 300 planes, versus Israel’s loss of only 19 planes. And EVERY single time Israel has been attacked, when they counter, they end up with more land than they originally had.

There is no military history of any war that lasted for 6 days, except for the one recorded in Joshua, in the battle for Jericho. God is repeating history!

15And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; 16men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken

Something will happen that will cause men’s hearts to be fearful after 1967, and what is it? “The powers of heaven will be shaken”

So what is this “powers of heaven”?  In the Greek, the word used is (οὐρανός) Ouranos, from where we get the word uranium, which is used in nuclear weaponry. In other words, God is saying that the atomic matter will be split, used to destroy.

17Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 18Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.

Now, we can rejoice! This redemption is not your soul redemption, you are already saved! But this is referring to your bodily redemption!

Pastor Prince: Jesus is about to redeem your body! The one he paid for at Calvary! Your body will be redeemed to be like his body! Never to grow old, never to fall sick, never to tired again, never to feel bored again, never to fall asleep in service –had to slide that in, you know what I’m saying, amen? xD”

In Matthew 24, Jesus added something else that might interest you.

6And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places.

The word “Nation” is ethnos, meaning ethnic groups would war against ethnic groups, as well as countries against countries.

8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.

Now, when He comes back, we must understand that the rapture is not the 2nd coming of Christ. The second coming is for Israel. Before they are destroyed, Jesus would come and rescue them, whereas the rapture is for the church. That’s why for the believer, Jesus comes as the bright and morning star. But for Israel, He will come as the Son (Sun) of Righteousness.

Early in the morning, the bright and morning star appears first.  =)

———————- Part 2 —————————-

Is there oil to be found in Israel? Lets find out, based on the prophesies of Jacob and of Moses.

There was a debate about whether there is oil in Israel. They were saying how Israel is the only land in the Middle East without oil. Even Golda Meir joked once, when Moses brought the people out of Egypt, he made a wrong turn and instead of turning right into Saudi Arabia, where the oil is, he turned left into Israel!

In the 90’s and in 2002, Pastor Prince had shared about prophesies regarding oil in Israel, and he is sharing it again now. It’s in hindsight to see things that are happening right now before our eyes.

Turn to genesis, when Jacob was about to pass away into the presence of the Lord.

Genesis 49:1

1 And Jacob called his sons and said, “Gather together, that I may tell you what shall befall you in the last days,

The last days could not be any time before 1900 since Jerusalem was not yet in the hands of the Jews, so it can only be our generation!

By the way, in 1917, when the call came from Gen. Allenby to return to Israel, and they didn’t, count 50 years later, God gave them another chance. Why 50 years? Because in God’s law, every 50th year, the Law of Jubilee takes effect. Every debt is cancelled, every man returns to his land.
(Joshen’s observation note: So, this proves that not EVERY old covenant law is of no relevance today. If the law of Jubilee is still in effect to God, what then shall we say towards tithing? Food for thought. I may be wrong.)

So Jesus is our true Jubilee, but isn’t it amazing how God fulfills His promises?

Back to Jacob. We won’t look at all the sons, but beginning from Reuben, Jacob prophesied over Simeon, then Levi, then Judah, the fourth son. Now Jesus would come from Judah, the lion of Judah. Then suddenly, Jacob jumped all the way to the 10th son, Zebulun. Who was the 5th?  Dan is the 5th. Zebby is the 10th. So Jacob took the 5th(number of grace) and the 10th(number of law) and exchanged it. Someone will give his place of Grace and take your place of curse.

Now, Jacob lived WAY before Jesus times, yet, he foresaw that the Messiah would come and what He would do. This is proven when Jacob prophesied over Judah, then swapped to Zebulun, because Jesus would come from Judah, and then would go on to perform 2/3 of his acts in the land of Zebulun.

Then we come to the blessing of Joseph. Now this is exciting cos the treasure is “X-marked the spot” in Joseph’s land.

25By the God of your father who will help you,
And by the Almighty who will bless you
With blessings of heaven above,

Blessings of the deep that lies beneath,
Blessings of the breasts and of the womb.

26The blessings of your father
Have excelled the blessings of my ancestors,
Up to the utmost bound of the everlasting hills.
They shall be on the head of Joseph,
And on the crown of the head of him who was separate from his brothers.

So, already we see a clue here. The blessing shall be on the head of Joseph’s crown.

When Moses died, Joshua allotted the land according to God’s direction, and Joseph’s portion was divided into his two son’s Ephraim and Manasseh. Turn to your Bible, the back, and look for Tribal Allotment of Israel.

Now, let’s turn to the prophesies of Moses.

Before Moses died, he gave a prophecy regarding Joseph.

Deuteronomy 33:13-16

13And of Joseph he said: “Blessed of the LORD is his land, With the precious things of heaven, with the dew, And the deep lying beneath,

14With the precious fruits of the sun, With the precious produce of the months,

15With the best things of the ancient mountains, With the precious things of the everlasting hills,

16With the precious things of the earth and its fullness, And the favor of Him who dwelt in the bush. Let the blessing come ‘on the head of Joseph, And on the crown of the head of him who was separate from his brothers.’

Notice the last line, it’s exactly the same as what Jacob said.

So, the location of this treasure is in Joseph’s head.

Next blessing of Moses, we look at Zebulun.

18 And of Zebulun he said:

“ Rejoice, Zebulun, in your going out,
And Issachar in your tents!

19 They shall call the peoples to the mountain;
There they shall offer sacrifices of righteousness;

For they shall partake
of the abundance of the seas
And
of treasures hidden in the sand.”

Ok, lets look at Zebulun’s area.

Then, we look at Asher!
24 And of Asher he said:

“Asher is most blessed of sons;
Let him be favored by his brothers,
And let him dip his foot in
oil.

Pastor once went to Israel, and asked the guide there if they believed there was oil in the land of Asher and they said:” Olive oil? Oh, plenty!” But he was referring to black oil.

Interestingly, the word for olive oil and the word for black oil is the same, שמן shemen.

But in Deuteronomy 32,

13 “He made him ride in the heights of the earth,
That he might eat the produce of the fields;
He made him draw honey from the rock,
And oil from the flinty rock;

Black oil, is drawn from flinty rocks. So we can determine that the oil here is referring to black oil.

OK! Notice how the tip of the “foot” of Asher, is touching the crown of Joseph?
That’s where the oil is!

In fact, in 2009, Israel announced discovery of a huge gas field just west of Haifa.

Where is Haifa?

http://www.businessweek.com/globalbiz/content/jan2009/gb20090119_996007.htm

Pastor Gabriel reads: “A popular quip in Israel’s energy industry has it that when Moses left Egypt, he took a wrong turn on his way to the Promised Land: The Biblical figure should have veered right to Saudi Arabia rather than left to Israel, which has long been assumed to lack any petroleum reserves. Now it appears Moses might have had a better nose for energy than previously thought. On Jan. 18, just hours after a cease-fire began in the Gaza Strip, Israel announced the discovery of a major natural gas field off its northern Mediterranean coast.

The news sent the Tel Aviv stock market sharply higher on Sunday as the size of the find appeared to eclipse the negative impact of the recession the country is now facing. Shares of the Israeli partners in the Tamar-1 drilling site jumped between 42% and 124%, though profit-taking pulled some down on Jan. 19. Even the Israeli shekel joined in, climbing by up to 1.6% against the dollar on Monday before settling the day up a half-point.

“This is one of the biggest finds ever, and could even turn Israel into a natural gas exporting country,” predicts Yitzhak Tshuva, the majority shareholder in Israel’s Delek Group (DELKG.TA), one of the partners in the offshore drilling. That would be a huge change for a country that has been nearly 100% dependent on imported oil and coal. Last year alone Israel spent $12.8 billion on fuel imports.

The find, located 90 kilometers due west of the port of Haifa, is the first large field discovered in the eastern Mediterranean and is significant even by global standards.

Now, why is this important?

Why now? Why not earlier? Because God foresaw the problems Israel will have with Egypt. Now, Egypt and Israel have a peace treaty, but now, the stability is shaken. And Israel’s number 1 need from Egypt is energy. It was okay then when Mubarak was in power, but now, everything is changing.

So now, Israel is energy independent!

Church! God goes ahead of you!
First the natural Israel, then spiritual Israel will benefit. We are both Abraham’s seed. When Israel became a nation again in 1948, there was a great healing revival in the church. Then, in 1967, when Israel regained Jerusalem, the charismatic renewal occurred. Every time something good happens to Israel, something good will happen to the church.

http://www.businessweek.com/news/2010-06-03/israel-may-join-gas-exporting-nations-with-leviathan-discovery.html

Pastor Gabriel reads: Israel is on the path to exporting energy for the first time in its 62-year history after Noble Energy Inc. and partners said their offshore discoveries in the country may hold twice as much natural gas as the U.K.

Nobel, the Houston-based operator of the Leviathan block, said yesterday the area may have 16 trillion cubic feet of gas, as it also raised its estimate for the nearby Tamar field to 8.4 trillion cubic feet. Nobel said all its areas in the eastern Mediterranean may hold as much as 30 trillion cubic feet.

“This has the potential to turn Israel into a key regional gas player, competing with the likes of Egypt,” Guil Bashan, an analyst at IBI in Tel Aviv, said by phone. “This is also a major plus for the economy and for the partners operating the licenses, which can produce value by becoming major exporters.”

Israel, which has been in several wars since it was founded in 1948, has been dependent on oil and coal imports from as far away as Mexico and Norway and has bought gas from Egypt in the past decade. Now, with the Tamar find last year expected to fulfill its gas demand for the next two decades, the country may be able to ship the commodity to Asia and Europe.

Our God is a preparing God. This coming week, you might ask “Oh man, why did this happen?” But don’t worry, God has prepared the answer and the favor. God has prepared the blessings for you. And when the enemy attacks you, you will take back more land, more territory, more blessings. There are no spoils without battles.

This is why Ezekiel 38 prophesies enemies of Israel coming against them and how God will provide Israel a resounding victory. Why they want to attack Israel? The Bible says they come for a spoil, a treasure.

Now, Pastor was watching the news and saw the pro-mubarak vs the anti-mubarak riots. Next morning, while he was still thinking about the incidents, he opened his bible and it fell to Isaiah 19.

2 “I will stir up Egyptian against Egyptian
brother will fight against brother,
neighbor against neighbor,
city against city,
kingdom against kingdom.

Do you think its coincidence? What is frightening for the world is that Egypt controls 4% of the worlds trade through the Suez Canal. If Egypt loses it’s stability, then trade would be affected. Now, MAYBE, there is an allusion to the Suez in Isaiah 19.

5 The waters of the river will dry up,
and the riverbed will be parched and dry.
6 The canals will stink;
the streams of Egypt will dwindle and dry up.

Anyway, want to see how this chapter ends?

19 In that day there will be an altar to the LORD in the heart of Egypt, and a monument to the LORD at its border. 20 It will be a sign and witness to the LORD Almighty in the land of Egypt. When they cry out to the LORD because of their oppressors, he will send them a savior and defender, and he will rescue them. 21 So the LORD will make himself known to the Egyptians, and in that day they will acknowledge the LORD. They will worship with sacrifices and grain offerings; they will make vows to the LORD and keep them. 22 The LORD will strike Egypt with a plague; he will strike them and heal them. They will turn to the LORD, and he will respond to their pleas and heal them.

23 In that day there will be a highway from Egypt to Assyria. The Assyrians will go to Egypt and the Egyptians to Assyria. The Egyptians and Assyrians will worship together. 24 In that day Israel will be the third, along with Egypt and Assyria, a blessing on the earth. 25 The LORD Almighty will bless them, saying, “Blessed be Egypt my people, Assyria my handiwork, and Israel my inheritance.”

We don’t know who will oppress Egypt, but we know who is the “savior, and defender”!

So, what will happen in these last days?

Number one, Jesus is coming back.

One of the things you’ll receive when He comes is a brand new body.

1st Corinthians 15:51
51 Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed—

What does this mean?

Pastor Prince: This means, during church service, these people who don’t fall asleep, they are the only ones who will be changed! Those who slumber wont be changed! Ok ok! Just kidding okay? I’m sorry! Don’t write to me to complain, I wont read…”  What it really means is that we shall not all die. Why doesn’t the apostle use the word die? Because Christians don’t die, they just drop their bodies and go to a new place. Because Jesus has conquered death. Death was never meant to be. And I believe it’s our generation! Cos our generation saw Israel come back in 1948, our generation saw 1967, Jerusalem coming back into Israel hands, our generation is seeing the prophesies being fulfilled! So our generation is the one who will not see death! Jesus will come again, and we shall ALL be changed!

For this corruptible body must put on incorruptibility, this mortal body must put on immortality. In other words, God will clothe you with a body that will never die. Imagine how fast will you go in your chariot of fire across the universe when you know you cannot die. Step aside Lamborghini! Step aside Ferrari! Porsche! BMW!  None of you can compare with God’s chariots of fire! And we’ll have the whole universe to play in!

Scientists say that our sun system is just a TINY part of our Milky Way, and that the Milky Way is just a TINY TINY TINY part of the entire universe. So why did God make such a huge expanse of space? It’s for us to play in! Don’t think Heaven is gonna be boring! Whatever causes you pleasure on earth, remember God created you. He knows what tickles your fancy!

Now, listen carefully, sin may make you feel like you’re enjoying, but it will make you stoned, and the consequences are nasty. When you follow God’s ways, you will enjoy most. God is not a joy killer, but a joy giver!

We’ll close with a prophecy regarding Israel and you! But before that, lets see how God repeats history.

In Genesis, there is the garden. In Revelations, there is also a garden.

In Genesis, there are the 4 rivers, in Revelations; there is the River of Life.

What happened to Israel when they left Egypt on the night of Passover will happen again.

Before Israel left Egypt, there was a transfer of wealth. The bible says the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the righteous. If you are righteous, there is a transfer of wealth coming for you!

Now, just a few decades ago, they found the Dead Sea scrolls. Why is this important? Because people argue that because the Bible is a copy of a copy of a copy, how do we know that we still have the same bible word for word and not something that has been manipulated?

When they analyzed the scrolls, they found the book of Isaiah, word for word. God wrote this book.

So, look at Isaiah 60!

1 Arise; shine;
For your light has come!
And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you.

This is not the prophecy for when Jesus comes again, because when Jesus comes, there is no more darkness. So this is for our times! Next verse says

2 For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth,
And deep darkness the people;
But the LORD will arise over you,
And His glory will be seen upon you.

Notice, that darkness covers the world, but the Lord will arise over YOU!

You are the people of God. The people, are just people out there! They are covered by darkness, hopelessness, but you! His glory will be seen upon you!

3 The Gentiles shall come to your light,
And kings to the brightness of your rising.
4 “ Lift up your eyes all around, and see:
They all gather together, they come to you;
Your sons shall come from afar,
And your daughters shall be nursed at your side.
5 Then you shall see and become radiant,
And your heart shall swell with joy;
Because the abundance of the sea shall be turned to you,
The wealth of the Gentiles shall come to you.

Now, look, it says, the wealth of the Gentiles shall come to you! You don’t have to look for it! You don’t have to fight for it! It will come, to you! You just pursue Jesus! You pursue a good relationship! And Wealth will come to you! It will find you! We are seeing this happen already in our church. The world will not understand.

This prophecy is not just for us, but also for Israel. We are both children of Abraham.

Now, what is the abundance of the sea? Now, it could be the gas, it could be the oil. What we’re saying is that, we should not “over-spiritualize” the Bible. While one can interpret it as meaning people, let’s not forsake the natural interpretation.

In Isaiah 35:1

1 The wilderness and the wasteland shall be glad for them,
And the desert shall rejoice and blossom as the rose;

Now, the word for desert is “Aravah”, which is near Petra. Today, it is the biggest source of flowers and roses exports to Europe. Today, the desert Aravah is LITERALLY blossoming as the rose!
So, back to Isaiah 60, what is abundance of the sea? Israel is seeing the first part happen already, next will be the wealth of the gentiles.

Pastor Prince: Now, can I say this to all of you? Tt must happen at least some years before the rapture right? I mean, if we need money, we need it now before the rapture! Whats the point of giving us the money, the gold and then immediately *poof* go uo to heaven? So we have all this money in our hands, walking on streets of gold! Then angel says “Eh, can I have some gold? I need to repair this street in heaven!”  The wealth is not for heaven! And seeing as the rapture is happening anytime now, God has to prosper his people at least some years before the rapture! So we can use the money to finance the Gospel in these end times, amen, to build a place like one north, to preach the gospel from the holiest of holies, facing the east, from the fifth floor, hallelujah, and the world will hear the Gospel preached! Amen! Give Jesus the praise! “

God is positioning you! How many can say Amen to that? You have taken the bread, you have taken the cup, and that’s what the Jewish people did on the Passover night, and not 3 million people left Egypt, but 3 million millionaires left Egypt.

  1. Bonnie Frimet says:

    PRAISE THE NAME OF JESUS Thank you so much Tycm’s & Joshen Zu Xian
    for Pastor’s seroms, always point us to our LORD AND SAVIOR.

  2. Loke Saik Hong says:

    A Bit of Law + A Bit of Grace

    In the Bible David cried out “Your lovingkindness is better than life.” His lovingkindness is better than life itself when it comes to God and us. His position is lovingkindness to us. God is full of love, and His love is full of loving kindness. His lovingkindness is better than life. His love is better than wine.

    Look at 2 Corinthians 3:18.
    But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.
    Look at the phrase ‘transformed into the same image from glory to glory.’ It means from darkness to light, bad to good, poor to abundance, sick to health. Just by looking at the Lord. It is a transformation that is good, from one level to another.

    Firstly our part is to make sure our face is unveiled. Secondly, make sure we are beholding Him. When we look at Jesus and His glory, something will not remain the same. So how can we behold the glory of the Lord? And by beholding we are been transformed not by self, not by our own effort, but by the Spirit of the Lord.

    Look at 2 Corinthians 3:5
    Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God,
    Bear this in mind, in and of ourselves we are not sufficient. Our sufficiency is from God. Stop apologizing and start acting on the truth.

    Look at verse 6.
    who also made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life
    For ministers or preachers, there is no anointing, nor power, nor glory, nor favour, nor sufficiency if they are preaching the old covenant. God obliges Himself to make sufficiency and able to those ministers of new covenant. Not of the letter but of the spirit, for the letter kills, but the spirit gives life. The letter is the law. The law is written on stones which are the ten commandments that kills. Why it kills? Because it make us feel guilty and then it brings us under the curse.
    Rightfully so, the law has to do that or else is not the law. If the law does not curse those who break it, it is not the law. But today, why are we no more under the curse of the law even though we do not adhere, follow or keep the law? Because of the verse in Galatians 3:13.
    Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”),
    This verse means something, only for those who break it. It means nothing for those who keep the law. Let’s say we keep the law. but there are none who keep the law. Let’s say we keep the law, there should be no curse. That verse means something for those who break the law. And the good news that Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law. Which means we can rest easy, we can breathe easy for there is no curse for the believer as long as his/her trust is in Christ.

    The law is right doing. Grace is right believing. We believe Jesus took this curse. Jesus paid the price. Jesus obedience set to our account all the blessings of God. Grace is right believing in what Christ has done, in Christ finished work.

    Divine health comes by His stripes we are healed. Our fitness comes from exercise. But our health comes from Him. As we go to church we learn God’s way. God’s way is easier and more fun. The world’s way for eating is abstain from this, abstain form that, eat more of this, more of that. No fun! God’s way more fun. Divine prosperity happens when God power works on our behalf. It is not our fleshly arm. Our sufficiency is from God who gives us richly in all things be it prosperity, health, supernaturally family lives and for everything. The letter kills, that is the law kills. The world system is based on law. God system is trusting in Him.

    When the Bible says ‘the letter kills’ the context is referring to the ten commandments. The new covenant gives life. Taylor’s definition of ‘give life’ is our body comes alive. For example, if you are not fruitful in having children, it will enable you to be fruitful. It is talking about the spirit giving life to our body. Look at John 10:10 and Proverbs 4:20-22.
    The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

    20 My son, give attention to my words;
    Incline your ear to my sayings.
    21 Do not let them depart from your eyes;
    Keep them in the midst of your heart;
    22 For they are life to those who find them,
    And health to all their flesh.
    It is not life to everybody. It is not life to every Christian, only life to those who finds them. and what follows is health to all their flesh. Not one part of our body, but every part gets the benefit. Look for life! Jesus said, ‘The words that I speak unto you, they are spirit and they are life.’ See Hebrews 4:12.
    For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
    Notice the word of God is living before it becomes powerful and sharper. Look for ministries that gives life. Life translates health, because every disease is death begun or death is its beginning stage.

    Every time we read the Bible, make sure we get life if not when we find it dry ask the Holy Spirit to open our eyes and let the word of God becomes alive.

    Look at 2 Corinthians 3:7.
    But if the ministry of death, written and engraved on stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of the glory of his countenance, which glory was passing away,
    What is the ministry that kills? It is the law written and engraved on stones. The ministry of death is not a ceremonial law, but it is the ten commandments that is written and engraved on stones. That is actually a mixture that made the law deadly. When the law came from God, it is alive. When did Moses face shine? The first time God gives the law? No. Moses came down with two tablets and before he could make it to the bottom he saw the golden calf. What happened? Moses broke it out of anger. The first time God gave the ten commandments Moses face did not shine. Only on the second time.

    Look at Exodus 32:30
    Now it came to pass on the next day that Moses said to the people, “You have committed a great sin. So now I will go up to the LORD; perhaps I can make atonement for your sin.”
    Notice the word ‘perhaps.’ Moses ministry is not a perfect ministry. “Perhaps I can make atonement for your sin.” There is no perhaps for our Lord Jesus. He has made a perfect atonement for us. From here we can see a beautiful contrast about the law and grace.

    Coming back to 2 Corinthians 3 the Bible says the ministry of death happens not in the first giving of the law, but at the second giving. When Moses went up the second time God told him to cut the two tablets of stone. God will write on them in place of the stones Moses broke out of anger. Look at Exodus 34:4.
    4 So he cut two tablets of stone like the first ones. Then Moses rose early in the morning and went up Mount Sinai, as the LORD had commanded him; and he took in his hand the two tablets of stone.
    5 Now the LORD descended in the cloud and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the LORD.
    6 And the LORD passed before him and proclaimed, “The LORD, the LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in goodness and truth,
    Now, God added something to this covenant. God added grace to this covenant.

    See Exodus 34:29
    Now it was so, when Moses came down from Mount Sinai (and the two tablets of the Testimony were in Moses’ hand when he came down from the mountain), that Moses did not know that the skin of his face shone while he talked with Him.
    Moses saw the glory of God that made his face shine. It was not fully a new covenant. It was a mixture of law and grace. When he came down, his face shone, that is the ministry of death. It is a mixture of law and death. It is law covered with a resemblance of grace, but with a lot of law.

    Look at 2 Corinthians 3:7.
    But if the ministry of death, written and engraved on stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of the glory of his countenance, which glory was passing away,
    It is referring to second giving. Moses came down with new tablets of stone. He saw the grace of God. He saw the goodness of God. He came down with the tablets of the law. What happen when he came down? The people were afraid of him. His face have glory but this is the glory that frightens people. The glory that make them feel that they are far from God. It make them realize their imperfection, their sins, their shortcomings, and their dark side. And then the people went away from Moses. It was a glory that condemns because the Bible says, later when he called them they came back to him. That reminds us of the transfiguration on the Mount. Jesus face was shining and the people ran towards Him. Because the glory of Jesus is like the more we look at Him, the more we rejoice all our sins are taken away. The more we look at His face, and His face shines and shows that our sins are taken care of.

    Note that Moses put on a veil because his glory is passing away. See verse 13.
    unlike Moses, who put a veil over his face so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the end of what was passing away.

    Back to verse 8, 9.
    8 how will the ministry of the Spirit not be more glorious?
    9 For if the ministry of condemnation had glory, the ministry of righteousness exceeds much more in glory.
    So the ministry of mixture have glory. The ministry of mixture is the ministry of death. Law and grace put into one is the ministry of death. The law demands righteousness and then condemns man for not providing righteousness. It was design to condemn if man don’t fulfills it. The spirit or grace or new covenant provides righteousness for man. Every time if we live in the the consciousness that God is demanding, demanding, we are under law even though we are in a grace church.

    If our sufficiency is from God, He is providing for us. If we need anointing, God is providing for us. If we need righteousness, God is providing for us. If we need help, God is providing for us. You see God as a constant giver. In contrast we see the ministry of righteousness, a ministry that gives us the revelation we are the righteousness of God, not by our deeds but by the blood of Jesus. And no one can take that right because is not our obedience but the Son of God obedience. The ministry of righteousness is a spirit that gives life.

    Look at 2 Corinthians 3:9.
    For if the ministry of condemnation had glory, the ministry of righteousness exceeds much more in glory.
    Notice the ministry of condemnation has glory, but not the exceedingly glory that we have in the new covenant.

    Look at 2 Corinthians 3:10, 11.
    10 For even what was made glorious had no glory in this respect, because of the glory that excels.
    11 For if what is passing away was glorious, what remains is much more glorious.
    Notice that the law is passing away. What remains is the ministry of new covenant. The reason why many of God’s people cannot hold on to the blessings of God is because they are trying to hold on what is passing away.

    The spirit of the new covenant is what remained. What is the spirit of the new covenant? The consciousness of all our sins are put away. Look at Romans 5:17.
    For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.)

    Look at 2 Corinthians 3:12 -14.
    12 Therefore, since we have such hope, we use great boldness of speech—
    13 unlike Moses, who put a veil over his face so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the end of what was passing away.
    14 But their minds were blinded. For until this day the same veil remains unlifted in the reading of the Old Testament, because the veil is taken away in Christ.
    Their minds were blinded. When the Jewish people are under the law they get blinded because there is a veil. They know that law was given by Moses, but may not understand grace and truth came from Jesus Christ. Look at John 1:17.
    For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ

    The Jewish people has a practice during the Passover where there are three matzah bread for them to take the centre one and break it. After breaking it, it is wrapped in linen and hidden somewhere for children to search it out. Why the middle bread? The middle bread is called eiserchomai in Greek (I come). Why the middle bread and broken? They could not explain why. We conclude it represents the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. Jesus was wrapped in linen and was found risen three days later.

    Look at verse 2 Corinthians 4:3, 4.
    3 But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing,
    4 whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.
    Paul is telling us that the world looks at us in the church and thinking we are living by laws of dos’ and don’ts. They find that it is boring but they don’t know the real life that we are under. The love of God that we are enjoying. The beauty of Christ we are seeing, and the blessed life that we are under. The world see religion, they don’t see reality that we are in the midst of. If our gospel is not delicious, then there is no need for the devil to blind their eyes. How does the god of this age blinded some Christians eyes? The devil uses the law. The law is the veil. In Deuteronomy there is a law that you must not muzzle the ox when he is treading out the corn. If the ox is treading out the grain, round and round and he stopped to eat, allow him to eat. Look at Deuteronomy 25:4
    “You shall not muzzle an ox while it treads out the grain.
    Look at 1 Corinthians 9:9.
    For it is written in the law of Moses, “You shall not muzzle an ox while it treads out the grain.” Is it oxen God is concerned about?
    It is referring to full time workers, bible teachers.Let them be paid well. Paul look at the law, lifted up and saw God’s heart. The same verse, one read Moses, one read Jesus. One read condemnation, one read life.

    If we read the Old Testament veiled, then we are reading Moses, the letter that kills. If we read the Old Testament and find Christ, we are seeing Jesus the spirit that gives life.

    Look at 2 Corinthians 3:16.
    Nevertheless when one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.
    Before we read the Bible, always pray. Tell the Lord to open our eyes to behold the wondrous things out of the law. Open our eyes, give us seeing eyes and depend on the Holy Spirit. Don’t read the Bible as God answer for the world or God speaking to the world in general. Read the Bible as God is speaking to you. In your present problem, you will be surprised after praying and asking the Holy Spirit for dependence, it will give you revelation to your present situation. The words are alive because it is God breathe. That’s why man does not live by bread only, but every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. See Matthew 4:4.
    But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’”

    The world is full of laws, regulations, and rules that we must keep. If we want to be healthy, these are the rules. If we want to be prosperous, these are the rules. And the rules are ever changing. Last time no good to take eggs, now is good. The bottom line, depend on the Lord.

    Look at 2 Corinthians 3:17, 18
    Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
    But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.
    Anything that blinds us is not from God. Once the law is no more in our eyes, we have an unveiled face. Do not approach the Bible in Old Testament way. But ask the Holy Spirit how perfect is Jesus work and how finished is the finished work. Even if we are reading Old Testament form the Bible or attending a ministry, make sure it is unveiling Christ. We will be transformed into the same image. We will see ourselves as kings and priests. The more we see, the more we become. It is not by effort, but by the spirit.

    The glory on the face of Moses causes terror. It kills. For it make man conscious of his guilt and therefore in its inability to stand in the presence of God. But the glory in the face of Jesus, the man on high gives life for it is the proof all sins of those who behold Him are blotted out. In other words, when we look at Jesus face today in the scriptures, He is at the Father’s right hand. His face shines. The reason He is sitting down there is because He has done a perfect work in putting away our sins. Having purged our sins He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty high. The more we look at Him and the fact His face is shining, every ray of glory tells us our sins are blotted away.
    The glory on Moses face is passing away is telling the people, “You are guilty.” It ministers condemnation and death. The face of Jesus, the glory and where He is sitting at the Father’s right hand tells us His work is finished and our sins are blotted out.

    How would we approach God when we know our sins are put away for time and eternity? How would we worship God when we know our sins are put away for time and eternity? How would I relate to one another if I know my sins and your sins are put away in the perfection of His sacrifice? If we know our sins God remembers no more and we really believe that, what’s going to happen? We will end up loving one another, end up forgiving one another. We end up in the true holiness.

    Look at Psalm 103:3.
    Who forgives all your iniquities,
    Who heals all your diseases,
    Knowing our sins are forgiven,what happens next? Is healing!

    Thank You, Father You are a God of grace. Your gentleness is Your glory. Your mercy is Your majesty. Merciful, gracious. Thank You we breathe by Your mercy. We stand by Your grace. Amen.
