Resurrection Sunday

Summary: When Jesus arose on Resurrection Sunday, HE conquered not just the grave, but also sorrow, fear, doubt and discouragement—the four main means the devil uses to attack the human heart. Jesus’ resurrection is heaven’s receipt that we are completely forgiven. This means that we can be bold to believe Him for great things.
Mary came early in morning . Jesus transcended the cacoon of his grave clothes . It had hardened because aloes resin etc used to wrap. John saw and believed
Something about linen cloth that john believed
If thieves stole body, they would have had to battle roman guards then roll over heavy stone and would they leave behind linen grave clothes ?!
When you sad you stoop like Mary who cried.
Heaven always asks why are you crying . After women left, Jesus asked Mary this. We are crying when answer – Jesus in front of us – like Mary’s situation
Jesus calls those whom he has redeemed.
At first Mary don’t recognize Jesus then he called her by name , Mary Mary, and she recognized him as savior . Like many of us after Jesus calls us
When eagles age calcium deposits causing them to stoop. That is why ‘break’ beak to remove calcium
Two thirds of things we fear never happen so two thirds of tears wasted
Angles don’t understand why we cry
Mary was facing wrong direction. The grave. Thankfully, she turned around and faced Jesus
Jesus appeared first to Mary not his mother . So gracious ! Appeared to one whom he cast out devils and was a prostitute.
Jesus called his disciples, ‘brethren’ for the first time here after He had completed the Work!
Later that morning he went to sprinkle blood at heavenly mercy seat so the women could later touch him
First fruits of barley is presented to Father first. God has portion first. Jesus was first fruits.
Then after Jesus presented to Father, the rest could touch him.
Biggest thing that Jesus did was that He took away our sins
Heb 10:11-12
God is so pleased because Jesus has so fully met the claims of justice and divine holiness
God has reaped a greater harvest from redemption than creation.
Angels not redeemed and silent during songs of redemption sung by humanity.
If still in sins, Jesus cannot be raised from the dead !
Therefore Jesus has done a perfect work in purging our sins
Forgiven forever. One sacrifice for sins forever
1 Cor 15:17
Reverse that and we have:
– Christ is risen , therefore we are not in our sins !
Christ rose without our sins and we are in Christ
Divine receipt is Christ resurrection
Perfect tense
All the greek power words like exousia etc used to describe in Ephesians to raise Jesus from the lowest to life
All sheep on right . Goats on left
Right is place of blessing and justification.
Throughout bible you find younger favored over older . Why? Jesus is first born . We are second. Jesus loves us and gave us his place
When lady values dress more than money, the money will go. God gave up His son for us !
He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? [Rom 8:28]
Col 2:13 – 15
Having forgiven us ALL trespasses
We rise together alive with Jesus
Jesus undertook all our liabilities so when he came out of tomb , all sins paid !
When we blow it , just thank God that all sins forgiven and He rose !
In John, we see that Jesus took care of 4 problems of humanity
Jesus said it is not what you take that defiled but what comes out
From heart comes out…. Murder , bitterness… that is what defiles.
He never said watch what you eat
In fact, there is verse that says, eat what is placed before you
When Jesus healed, he never said sickness was caused by what they eat
Perhaps the problem instead is gluttony so if God tells you to fast then do so
4 problems Jesus addresses in resurrection:
First problem – sorrow
Love knows no reason. Mary wanted to carry body of Jesus
Mary doctrine wrong as believed he died but Jesus loved her and responded even though he was on way to sprinkle blood on mercy seat
Jesus drawn to love ! Mary loved Jesus.
Many people are right doctrinally but heart cold
Jesus stopped as she moved by Mary tears and she missed Him
Second problem – Fear
The disciples feared and were behind closed doors and did not believe the women who told of resurrection
Jesus appeared in their midst of fear and unbelief and said Shalom and showed hands and feet, the basis of peace
First Sunday appeared Jesus and sign that Jesus will always be in believers midst and same message today : peace
Joy comes from knowing Jesus
Third enemy – doubt
Thomas was absent and became unbelieving believer and Jesus appeared before him and removed doubt
Thomas then declared Elohim YHWH in Hebrew or my lord and my God !
Forth enemy – discouragement and despair
Appeared before them and called them away from fishing which they went back to as discouraged
Heb 10:11 – 12 now Jesus is one sacrifice for sins forever
Jesus is our true payment Not just a mere visa or master card .
Jesus raised from dead for OUR sakes . Everything he does for our sakes not his
Rom 8:33 – 34
Jesus makes intercession for us
God looks at Jesus when He wants to assess us.
We are always acquitted and seated on right hand in Jesus
Who shall bring a charge against us — his elect ?
Satan prosecutor at law lies to you before you . He cannot lie before God as God omniscient
Satan makes you focus on you and not Jesus
Satan no need to lie . He simply point out the sin of the person before God
Job 9:32 – 33

“God is not a mortal like me,
so I cannot argue with him or take him to trial.If only there were a mediator between us,
someone who could bring us together.”
No mediator in Job ‘s time.
We have Jesus as mediator now !
1 Tim 2:5
Don’t ever say we are like Job now !
Heb 9:23 – 24
Why did Jesus go to purify the things in heaven ?
Heaven is clean !
Satan now no longer goes to heaven to accuse . Happened once after resurrection. Then Jesus dealt with it
What in heavens need to be cleansed ?
The place that Satan went to heaven to accuse man. The place that Adam had. Satan took it when he usurped as sons of God. Satan is not son of God. He usurped.
Revelation depicts past event where Michael war in heaven and Satan cast down
Now in heaven only high priest and no prosecutor
Intercession is enthukalos
Thukalos – hit the mark (as with a javelin or arrow). [greek]
En – in (greek)
Opposite of missing mark or sinning !
Jesus makes intercession and helps us hit the mark
Heb 7:25 (amplified version)
“Therefore He is able also to save to the uttermost (completely, perfectly, finally, and for all time and eternity) those who come to God through Him, since He is always living to make petition to God and intercede with Him and intervene for them.”
The expression “save to uttermost” is also present active tense. Once saved always saved. However, there are areas in your live that need saving now. This is the application for Believers e.g. areas of wrong thinking, etc.
UTTERMOST = Greek : Panteles – all complete, completely in every way, utterly
“Come to God” – also present tense , draw near to Jesus
When you draw near Jesus, more parts of you saved. The verse is telling us to keep doing this in present tense.
Boy with lymphoma was healed when parents and him spend whole week feeding on pastor’s healing messages by means of watching it on ipad, etc. Here is Heb 7:25 in action.
Heb 13:15 . Draw near to God. How ? Through Jesus. By him we offer sacrifice of praise
Lev 1:15 – 17
Feathers are useless for sacrifice so he removes it.
Place of ashes . Means all finished
Precious stones on breast plate from Egypt . Jew and Gentile – one church
Jesus removes what is superfluous and adds his anointing to your prayers before God !
Just pray !
Don’t be bogged down with all the various methodology and steps to prayer
Just come to God.
Lev 1:17 – a sweet aroma to God
Jesus will cause prayer and worship to hit mark
Pastor wife before she met pastor prayed to God to be air stewardess as she wanted to travel . God knows what she really wants and her true destiny. Her parents caused her to decline interview . Now she gets to travel a lot as pastor’s wife.
Don’t be worried about being precise in praying . Jesus is high priest and He will present the prayers as sweet aroma .
One prayer principle is you must be specific in prayer in order for faith to operate
Other is be general because if you are specific you limit God
Truth is just pray in Jesus name and He removes the unnecessary and adds His aroma!
KNOWING and having confidence in the picture in Leviticus 1:15 – 17 where Jesus removes the superflous and adds His sweet aroma and presents our prays perfectly to the God the Father — THIS IS FAITH !

In particular, you could home in on those CDs which touch on Healing and Holy Communion , or Anointing Oil and Healing. Shalom !
