Geraldine Tan-Wee did a great set of notes for what I believe to be the New Creation Church 2nd service of the 29 May 2011 :

U dun wait for ppl to apply, as thenWord goes forth, miracles has happened. By the foolishness of preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ, the healing has happened, the work is finished.
When u go two by two into the house say PEACE n the son of peace is in there. Peace btw spouse and within the family.
Stop trying to impress on someone else who is not open, move on to the person who is open to receive Jesus. After preaching or during preaching, God confirms the Word with signs and wonders.
There is going to be a deliverance taking place today as the Word goes forth in one area. Victory over the area of SEXUAL IMMORALITY AND PORNOGRAPHY.
Grace can triumph over these area.
50% of male and 20% of female believers are addicted to porn. 47% families polled said pornography is a problem.
Rom 6:14- God wants us to love life victorious in every area. God invented sex, not Hollywood, not the devil. God is not a joy killer; He created sex with all its pleasure and fulfillment- as a gift to married couples.
Of all the women () has preached to, the women in the sex industry came from families with absentee fathers & who go home feeling unworthy.
Let’s talk about the body of Christ now, not the world. God doesn’t want any sin to have any dominion over u because u are not under law, but under grace.
There are still many preachers afraid to preach grace as they mistake it as licence to sin. But sin has no power when u are not under law, but under grace.
If gospel of grace isn’t being preached, then what hope is there for the people. Just imagine, hue he’s that don’t even preach grace? Rom 6:14 so clear
The chief feature of law is demand. Thou shalt not.
The chief feature of grace is supply. This doesn’t mean there is no demand. What He demands, He supplies. “Such as I have, I command u…”
Laws of Moses – not one instruction on prayer because law presumes of Men’s strength and effort. Law is wonderful if men were not bankrupt spiritually. Law will show man up.
The Law is holy but cannot make people righteous. It is like a mirror- viciously true, not prejudice, precise. But the mirror cannot clean the smudge on ur face.
Most of preaching today on law revolves around sin. God gave law to man not to make him holy. No verses that say this.
Law given so sin will abound SO men will see their need for a saviour, a healer.
Rom6:14 – replace the word “law” with “demand”, and “grace” with “supply” and read verse again.
We are under supply NOT demand. When we are conscious of demand, we demand of others- not easy to live with.
For it is God who works in u the willingness and the performance of his good pleasure. If God tells u to do something will supply u with the grace and ability to do it.
Supply conscious- every task reveals God’s supply, miracles and grace.
John 5:19
The Son can do nothing of himself but what He sees the Father do (supply).
Demand will burn u up.
Supply- keep stepping into it.
The HS has devoted entire of Rom7 to explain law and grace. Imagery of marriage.
Why is the HS explaining law and grace in terms of marriage? Paul preached to Jews first. The LORD married Israel to the Torah. In Jewish wedding the roof rept the shadow of Sinai.
Many ppl feel they betray their family faith if embrace grace.
When demand is not met, condemnation sets in. Demand and condemnation are like twin sisters- hand in hand.
Still on topic of sexual addiction & whatever addiction u have… God wants His ppl free… Every addiction destroys.
We all want victory and God doesn’t want us blind to anything. In all our sharing understand this- GOD WILL NV CONDEMN U AS JESUS BORE IT AT THE CROSS. Nothing surprises Him. He wants u to learn the ways of victory.
Mister Law demands. Nothing wrong with him. Perfectionist. Finger wagging religion.
With Jesus doesn’t mean performance slackens. He supplies the help.
Eg wife married to Mr Perfect must make eggs for Jim but one day breaks yolks and gets scolded. Married to Jesus, he will even help u with the coffee and eggs.
Jesus died to redeem us from the curse n demands of the Law.
See Rom 7:4-5 to see how He (Grace personified) has freed us from marriage to The Law.
God cannot compromise on His standards but we are now married to Him who fulfills it on our behalf.
Ruth- gentile married to Mahalon (disease, sickness) & as his name is, matter of time he died. No kids aka no fruits. (Law)
U know the story- she married Boaz who had the ability to redeem him. She became fruitful. (Grace)
Rom7:5- being in the flesh (under law), being in Thr spirit (under grace).
Sinful passions aroused by the law. Today we have so much preaching against sin singlely.
Sin meets the law= sinful passions are aroused. Trusting in self.
Eg. U are determined not to lust. The more u try, Thr more u fail. Sinful passions aroused by trying. The more i tell u not to think of pink elephant, the more u visualize it and think of it.
Trying makes it worse- like a man in a quicksand.
Married to grace- ur fruit is to God. Resting in Jesus, trusting in Him. He will cause u to walk in victory.
Deliverance from the law in Rom7:6 isn’t ceremonial law. Oldness of the letter = law. We serve in newness of the Spirit. Rom7:7′s context further tells us we are saved from the ten commdnt.
Must listen to the promptings of the Spirit- how to live under grace.
See Rom7:6 in AMP.
But now we are discharged from the Law and have terminated all intercourse with it, having died to what once restrained and held us captive. So now we serve not under [obedience to] the old code of written regulations, but [under obedience to the promptings] of the Spirit in newness [of life].
A parent told him his twins on verge of becoming teens. Even when watching transformers with the kids, he holds the remote. Because there is something foxy in them. Skips the fox. XD
The pressure of peers on our kids. Can watch the show but do it under guidance (PG).
In homes where there is much legalism, a lot of their kids become wild.
Not allow indulge and let them become addicted.
Some shows are NONO but some can if u control- follow promptings of the HS.
So many are afraid of HS. Turn his promptings into demands. He prompts us to sit still and rest and receive, not doing. Many think prompting requires us to try and to do.
Wanted to watch Champions league and rushing home via AYE. Express way very quiet. Passes by an elderly man crossing central divider. HS prompted him to stop the car and help the man cross the road. A while back, had asked HS to teach him about his prompting. So obeyed him, and stopped his car and helped him. Asked why he was there. Old man said he was hungry and HS said feed him. He was 90yo and his sons didn’t return with food. So pastor thought can feed him nearby real fast and catch first half of football. He wanted to go to a particular place that Ps didn’t know what he was saying as he was Javanese. Said his friends are there. People know him and will tk care of him. And prayed LORD u asked me to do, so now what shall I do? Promptings of God is like power steering and not manual steering. The moment u give into promptings, the power and ability comes. When he prayed, image of a hawker centre flashed in his mind so he drove there. The Spirit flowed. All he wanted to do was go home to watch football, and didn’t know the supply to help would come in the form of a flashing of image.
U never know when u obey God, u are on r way to victory. By faith, Abraham went not knowing what to expect. David delivered cheese and bread not knowing what lay ahead of him. U juz need to take the first step.
Jesus isn’t silent. He prompts us and not always to do, very often, it is a prompting to rest. We are married to Him. He imparts in our sleep and in Hebrew it is written that He gives to us even in our sleep.
“LORD teach me what to eat.”
Ps prayed that privately. Wendy spoke to a leader’s wife and found out about a diet and spoke to Ps abt tryin it. Ps reminds us diets don’t work. So wanted to know if the diet was leading. And he received prompting to go ahead. Tried to go on diet before without God’s prompting and put on more weight.
FLEE from temptation. Joseph RAN. Sexual temptation is one temptation u don’t fight. U flee.
Problems start with good intentions. Flee.
1 Cor 6:18
Sexual sin affects one’s body in particular. Not sure how but it will.
“I don’t want my wife to trust me in the area of sexual immorality. I am a red blooded male. Infant her to maintain me in this area.” Everything starts innocently but the forces of attraction are strong. Put no confidence in the flesh.
Temptation—> Confidence in the flesh (ie. “I can handle this.”, … and ur flesh will always bring u to the dark side. God could trust Joseph because he placed his confidence in God and not flesh)—> indulgence —> guilt —> new resolutions (more confidence in the strength of the flesh)—> fresh temptations.
The way Jesus broke this cycle. How? He told the adultress, “I don’t condemn u. Go and sin no more.”
Know this when u fail, empowers u not to sin.—> Romans 8:1. Condemndation (in Greek, means sentenced to punishment) “No” here – Greek: “oudias”= not a single one.
When u fail, don’t condemn urself and receive His love. Then don’t go back to law/ demand. Keep drawing from His grace again. U are married to Christ, to grace.
