HEAVEN’S CURE FOR EARTHLY ILLS
Thank God for all these wonderful testimonies – Jesus is being unveiled .
Grace is the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Jesus told people that Truth will set them free. Truth and Grace came by Jesus !
Law and Grace cannot mix.
Law shows the demands and claims of God.
Grace reveals the heart and love and mind of the Father.
See Psalm 105 : talks about all God has done up to Sinai
When you talk about God, worship ensues
Psalm 106: talks about man’s act. golden calf etc
When you talk about man, no worship
When you live and confess Grace, you produce true holiness
Ruth says I will find Grace in field ! She did not even know Boaz at that time , and she encountered Boaz ! Boaz is a type of Jesus .
Issac blessed Jacob and described That he smells the sweet smell of the field . Mistaken Jacob for Esau
Just like Father saw us in sweet aroma of Jesus
Abomination in OT is Hebrew for stench of rotting corpses
Whoever obeys the Law doeth.
Righteousness of Faith speaks
In creation , God said and God saw. And cycle. So the original work is : God speaking
Original commentary: God made Man a speaking spirit
Adam does not use stick . Just speak . That is how Adam deal with dinosaur etc
EMMAUS ROAD EXPERIENCE
Luke 24:13 – 21
V 14: when talking about GOd, Jesus was with them
Jesus HIMSELF drew near
v21 We were hoping that HE who was going to redeem Israel
What was of supreme expectation to Cleopas was Israel ! Messiah was a side – issue. Jesus was just a servant to redeem Israel. Israel paramount and Jesus subservient was Cleopoas view !
Jesus should not be just a means ! Don’t use Jesus for what is of your central or paramount importance or your little Israel.
Jesus is always in the midst and of paramount importance.
Once Jesus is midst , everything in life works out. Jesus is the hub in which all the spokes of life radiate out .
Heaven’s Cure For Earthly ills ?
Israel has taken central place for Cleopas !
Why are people are disappointed etc? Because they have unrealized expectations based on unscriptural views.
We all have our own ‘israel’ s or unrealized expectations
It is all right to have expectations but make sure they are scriptural
Why expectations not realized ? Because the expection not scriptural
Eg of unscriptural expectation:
-Marriage will transform the man you marry
-When you pray in tongues, less trouble
-When you are baptized in holy spirit , no more trouble (eg David . He was annointed to be king. Some of us expect that next after anointing, we should be ushered into palace. But God preparing to remove all of self so that we can be fully dependent on God’s Grace and finally ready for promotion)
-When you receive Christ, no more sin and you don’t sense presence of sin
When you receive Christ, sin no power over you. Just ashes . Defanged.
You have to reckon the feeling of sin dead even though it feels so real
Dating couples should marry the present person not the future version. Don’t have unscriptural view.
2 Pet 1:20
No prophecy is of private interpretation means it must be interpreted in context of broad scripture. Cannot be interpreted in one isolated passage. It must relate to entire body of scripture .
Sometimes we are disappointed because we see only one scripture in isolation without context of broader scripture.
If God sends you to a dark place, God trusts you enough to Be the Salt! Like if thorn in flesh remains, wow ! You are like Paul. A compliment . Moab was Israel wash pot !
Yes there is a dealing with by God but we are all in CHRIST
Fear and trembling is Hebrewism for the response for the goodness and grace of Jesus
Phil 2:12 – 13
Paul is telling them that they are more obedient in Paul ‘s absence.
This verse is talking about work out salvation to those who already HAVE salvation.
God works it in , You work it out . Eg how you parent, how you conduct your job.
Salvation through Grace alone.
God never rebuke Moses when he broke 10 commandments as pure law would have killed all Israel if it entered camp. Moses was flowing with God spirit .
Later Moses called up again and then God gave Law tempered with mercy now and Moses face glowed . Yet this is ministry of death.
Example of scriptural fear and trembling :
Just one touch of Grace you get the full measure of Jesus
One extreme hem of touch, you get full measure of Jesus !
Woman came into the press and just touched the mere hem of Jesus and received full measure of Grace
Mark 5:33 – fear and trembling is response to awesomeness of God ‘s goodness towards us !
Jeremiah 33:9 Jerusalem also feared and trembled because of goodness of God
All Singapore will tremble for all the goodness and prosperity brought to us through Jesus ! Eg when they see One North being built . Probably the most expensive church building in world. Built for the glory of God and to bless the people.
Jesus told the man to let dead bury the dead. Luke 9:60 “Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of God.” This does not describe a situation where the man’s father has just died and Jesus wants the man to neglect burying the father in order to follow Jesus immediately. Rather this passage means the man has a father who still is alive but elderly ! Let the father who has relatives to bury him when he dies. When you follow Jesus, he will take care your family! It is a great thing when Jesus calls you to follow him.
God knows you when you were placed in womb. That is why we are pro life.
No illegitimate children. Only illegitimate parents. Not baby fault
Once people have sense of sin, you bring in sense of grace
See Jesus when he brought boat sinking load of fishes to Simon Peter
Blessing came first and overpowers Peter with love for Jesus
Many approach Jesus for healing etc not for Jesus himself but Jesus so gracious and he heals etc. He so gracious and draws us unto Himself
Once you see your heart as revealed by Jesus, Jesus reveals His heart
Bring everything to me: Jesus and Father heart as revealed when He came down from mountain after healing the leper to valley of world.
Emmaus Experience
Luke 24:
V25 all the prophets
V26 all the prophets
V 27 all the scriptures
Things concerning himself.
Not what to do or no to do. That is what religion teaches.
Things concerning himself.
Notice “ALL” the prophets and scriptures . Cannot build doctrine on one verse . Must read ALL in context
Things subordinate will not suffer when you focus on Himself
Jesus is not means to an end. He is the end !
What is your little Israel?
God told Pastor to preach on Jesus . Not what he has been reading on church growth and ‘practical ‘ teachings. This came to Pastor when he received hearts-burning experience after he read Emmaus Road in his small apartment years ago. God asked pastor whether he will preach Jesus even if his church shrink ? Pastor considered and said YES and since then church has exploded !
MAtt 8:17 Jesus himself took your diseases

If he himself took the infirmities, it is taken !
You have got to get absorbed with Jesus not your body
ISA 53.4
“Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.”
The word “surely” is from the Hebrew transliterated as aken (Strong’s 403) which means TRULY, INDEED (strong assertive force)
The Hebrew root word is KEN which means YES and comprises of: kaf כֵּ and nun ן .
Put hey (grace) in between and you have Cohen . Priest (Cohen) always saying YES to blessing on people
“Griefs” is choliy (Hebrew) which can be translated as sickness / disease
“sorrows” is mak ‘ob (Hebrew) which can be translated as pain / sorrow
1 Sam 17:17 – 18

Fear not because Jesus is with you
David killed Goliath but his own brothers like Jesus ‘ brothers received him not.
God send Jesus to man loaded with blessings.
Like david sent with cheeses and foods
Not laws of stones sent .
Loaves are pix of healings. Healing is children bread.
OT is a picture book of Christ.
When you preach like that children no more fear to sleep alone.
David was wandering around . Only when Judah call him to become King that David returns and is crowned. His own called him back last. Just like when Israel call Jesus to be their Lord in end days.
You study about Jesus because you are found in Him.
1 John 4:17
Jesus lives after the power of an endless life. As He is so are we in this world .
Stop looking inward. That is depressive. Look outward at Jesus
Look at the peace of the Cross outwards and you have the peace inwards
God blesses you based on Jesus
Notice how sometimes when you fail, you still get blessed . God looking at you in Jesus.
That is not to say that you continue in sin. Goodness leads to repentance
3 cures:
-All the scriptures
-Christ himself is the Centre and theme of all scripture
- Christ risen
That is why Walk by Faith . That is how you see Jesus
When Jesus disappeared then And only then that disciples knew him!
Why ? Faith
Faith is only thing that can see Jesus
More important for Jesus to be seen in scriptures not physically .
Equal footing with people of ancient times of Jesus
Having not seen, we LOVE
JESUS stood in the midst of them and said SHALOM
However you treat Jesus is how God will treat you. If you honor Jesus, God will honor you etc

If I had only know the true meaning of Grace in Jesus, my life could have been so different. I am so sad for the years I spent trying to be what I thought He wanted, but always failed. Condemnation upon condemnation. Because it was never about what I can do but what He has already done. Now I better understand and I am grieved for what I lost all these years. My hope is Jesus will let me help others in a meaningful way. I support JPM in hopes that he will not take his broadcasts out of America. Millions more need to know that God is not waiting to punish them and they don’t have to live in guilt because they failed as a Christian. I prayed many times for God to send missionarys to the US, and He has.
