Christ positioned himself so that he be in the centre of the storm

Christ choses the last the lost the least who receive his favor

There were many times in past where it seemed all was dark eg the great Depression or the 70s stagflation and America survived and emerged stronger with many dynamic companies and a new golden age

Many leaders went through hell to come to heaven

An untried leader is an untested leader

Some of the things leaders went through is for benefit of people as a new message born in their experiences for people

To help people, the leader must be free of people’s opinion and His Word is paramount and Jesus is alpha and omega for the leader

Even in this volatile market, there is opportunity . Ask God to reveal ! Don’t join the coffee shop talk of the 10 spies who disbelieved !

We think the enemy is great but truth is enemy is fearing that we are invincible . That is what Rahab told the spies to Jericho and she asked them why they took so many years to come!

Jesus always teaches us gently : O YE little faith – oligopastos – Greek is one word . Encouraging us to take more ! Have an active relationship with Jesus . Why you take so little my child, Jesus says. it is never : o you of little holiness or YE of little love.

John 1:15 – 16

V 15 : in point of pre eminence Jesus is greater than John the Baptist even though in point of time John appeared on scene earlier

John 1:15  John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me.

V 16 : and of his fulness we all HAVE received , and GRACE for GRACE

But we Believers being living epistles do we reflect this ?! Folks , the world is reading us as epistles so ask God for big things and manifest the Grace in all aspects of your life

Of Jesus fullness we have received – Grace for Grace ! (John 1:16)

After we have John 1:16, we have this famous truth :

John 1:16  And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.

John 1:17  For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

Parable is told by Jesus of the workers. The last group of workers worked only 1 hour to get a full day’s wage. This is the group that trusted Master implicitly based on faith ! The first group was the bargaining folks .

World cries no fair ! Jesus is unfairly good . You get what you don’t deserve by Grace.

The first group got what is right as they contracted for it. Jesus had right to be generous ! Jesus said, their eye is evil

Many are chosen for ministry BUT Few chosen for the choicest gifts of Grace from God. Why ? Many serve God with bargaining attitude . Few serve God fully trusting in Him !

Trust God with his goodness and God is free to bless you abundantly !

Those who go by justice and fairness mentality can never understand this.

Since when has God blessed on the basis that we deserve this !?

David experienced training for reigning – in the wilderness at the feet of God.

Best way to learn is to be a people person – move around in the world and learn by being amongst people. Don’t just learn from books !

People can sense whether you simply want to use them to get money , or you use money to love people

When David play music, demons obey ,we want that anointing !

David was being hunted down because Saul jealous. Instead of focusing on philistines !

Jealousy is a small heart which believes God can only bless others at your expense !

God can bless your church And my church at same time !

Psalm 132:1 – 9

A song of ascents !

David was thinking of giving GOD a place for Him whilst David was being hunted ! David no home himself

Many in the world seek God for things they want but see David’s heart here !

Today so many inventions which are supposed to increase convenience and improve luxury ! Yet many are so empty !

Emmaus disciples saw Jesus as one to redeem Israel and Jesus was peripheral .

Have a growth As Christian — have Jesus in the centre !

you will be in for a lot of disappointment if you place spouse or kids I’m centre . Only creator can only truly satisfy ! No latest iPad or toy can satisfy . Creation – us can only take true satisfaction in Creator

Have a heart for the Ark of God like David — Jesus !

Acts 13:22: David was a man after God’s own heart

Having a heart for God’s own heart is having a place for God’s house. Not a spirit of quick repentance as many also have this quality in OT

Saul found place for himself but not for the Ark

Jesus represented in the furniture of Tabernacle .

the top is called mercy seat . The ark is the square below.

There is blood on the mercy seat. High priest will sprinkle this blood of the innocent sacrifice

Exo 25:21 – 22

“on top” : higher ground in Hebrew !

(KJV) Exodus 25:21 And thou shalt put the mercy seat above upon the ark; and in the ark thou shalt put the testimony that I shall give thee.

Grace is higher than law

God speaks with Moses There — in mercy seat

(KJV) Exodus 25:22 And there I will meet with thee, and I will commune with thee from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubims which [are] upon the ark of the testimony, of all [things] which I will give thee in commandment unto the children of Israel.

Duet 21 : rebellious son stoned to death under the Law
Under Grace, prodigal son was kissed and not stoned ! Under law, shoes must be taken off ! Under grace , put shoes On him

3 items in ark: rod of Aaron that budded, pot of manna , and tablets of law

God puts all these items of rebellion under mercy seat

God can see anything but not through the blood which atones

Gal 5:4 : if you go back to law, you fall from grace

Makes sense as grace is the high ground of mercy seat and The Law , Aaron rod and golden pot of manna is placed below in the ark

Grace and goodness of God leads us triumph over and reject temptation and to repentance.

We know Grace works !

God ‘s thoughts are on Jesus ! David has made God’s thoughts His thoughts

Psalm 132:6 – it (aaron – Hebrew preposition ) refers to the Ark in the context . Mentioned “it ” twice here

First time Ark of Covenant appears here – law of first mention

Gen 50:26 : first mention of ark is translated as Joseph’s coffin

Psalm 132:9

“Saints” – chassedkia (or gracious ones ) – Hebrew related word to chesed or Grace

His chesed or mercy and loving kindness endures forever

Solomon went to Gibeon – everything there but Ark was missing as David took the Ark to Zion. After he received Wisdom , Solomon went to Zion where Grace and Jesus is there and made offerings ! Mark of wisdom is where you value Grace of Jesus ! Ark in Zion

it is the presence of Jesus – the Ark can defend himself . Dagon , fish god of philistines fell down and hands decapitated before Ark. All the soldiers fell down when Jesus said “I am” Jesus laid down his life and not captured

Ark of Covenant = Presence of God = Jesus

Mount Zion = Grace

Ark was long time in Israel BUT only when it was in Mt Zion did Israel experience great breakthroughs etc ! LESSON:   Jesus (Ark of Covenant) must be presented in the context of Grace (Mount Zion)

God ‘liked ‘ David

Hebrew : raza

Many prayed for – raza – but only David expressly mentioned as ‘liked’

God loves all of us but does He like you ?

Then make God central thought and objective – Jesus – yours as well !

Put your eyes on Jesus !

God is repositioning everything — there is a transfer of wealth

Israel found gas reserve 4 years ago just in time for Egypt change In leadership.

God forsaw and God prepared

Israel not suffering financially now only high cost of living

First natural Israel than spiritual Israel

God is orchestrating everything

World is in this state because of educated idiots.

Psalm 132 : God liked David so much because he want to find God a house – same objective

You cannot leave Jesus in traditionalism etc . Bring to Mount Zion . ‘he has desired Zion for his dwelling place’

Zion is the place of Grace

Grace and truth came by Jesus Christ . This is the verse that comes after John 1:16

Psalm 132 : 15 God will abundantly bless your provision when Jesus is the centre

‘abundantly’ is double in Hebrew: Barak Barak – Hebrew word bless repeated twice

Psalm 132 : 15 — God will also satisfy “with bread”

Today with so many gadgets etc so many not satisfied ! Only Jesus truly satisfies

Psalm 132:16 : saints : chesideka : same word as psalm 132 :9

Make Jesus your vision !

have a heart don’t just make just make money which is a big zero

We go church because we want to see Jesus as he is unveiled there and we have soul satisfaction !

No one is as lovely and beautiful as Jesus !

When good things happen to you tell your kids , Jesus is the reason .

Do not ask whether things profit to me but does this glorify Jesus !

Linger in Jesus presence till His likeness be seen in us . Practice Jesus presence in your life.
