MAKE WISDOM YOUR #1 PRAYER REQUEST

There are different kinds of wisdom . Some from the school of hard knocks. Pastor suggests we don’t apply for this school. Go for spiritual wisdom. This comes not from experience. True wisdom comes from God.

Health comes from the Lord. Put your trust on the Lord. Mere fitness comes from exercise.

We need Christ for the next breath. We Need Christ every step of the way.

We need someone with an open heaven and a revelation knowledge to be appointed over people. Rather appoint someone who is young and with revelation knowledge than someone who is merely older.

Wisdom is ability to see plans and purposes of God.

We see HIS – story and we see the why behind the news story not merely the what.

When a country has a lot of believers – they can hold back the power of darkness – to hold back natural disasters or the plot to attack Singapore MRT

Rom 8 – creation groaning and looking for the manifestation of the sons of God

In God we trust – when we keep this principle – USA And our respective countries will be protected

Important that we possess our families in the ways of the Lord

proverbs 2:6. — the lord gives wisdom , not internet , not books

(KJV) Proverbs 2:6 For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth [cometh] knowledge and understanding.

When you see a child begin to ‘worship’ the tv – you don’t simply bar him from tv – ask God for wisdom

Be cool , distract the child with something better and brighter .

Proverbs 4:7 – 10

(KJV) Proverbs 4:7 Wisdom [is] the principal thing; [therefore] get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.

Wisdom is the — Principle thing – barashit (hebrew) the choicest , the most important

Same word used “in the beginning (barashit ) , God made …”

When wife leaves husband, husband needs the wisdom to get her back , not for God to zap her back

Sometimes wisdom is to stand strong, stay cool.

2 ways to destroy a child – one is loving the child overwhelmingly – over protective , indulgent , never letting him make decisions and feel consequences ; the other to physically abuse him

Bible says, those who receive wisdom , years of life many

Paul prayer for Ephesians is for wisdom and revelation

Every day pray for wisdom and favor

1 Cor 1:30 – this is place of holiness . Wisdom comes first. Jesus made unto Wisdom then righteousness . We need wisdom to understand righteousness through Christ

Then finally “holiness ” in 1 Cor 1:30

Holiness is not paramount

Moreover this holiness is based on Jesus not performance

Once you see you are righteous , you will live the holy life

Your number one need is wisdom , not money etc

9 gift of holy spirit

The very first gift is : word of wisdom

1 Cor 12:8 – - for one given “word of wisdom “

Word of wisdom is to see future or insight into future

Don’t whine over child spilling of milk. It won’t matter many years from now

Kids don’t like schools — why ? They are afraid to be scolded . But when they do well — they are not praised . Teacher kept quiet.

Some hate subject because scolded in the past.

Why some don’t ask for directions or must park in a certain way etc — they are afraid of being scolded — legacy from child hood

As you grow old, reduce the buttons which people can push

When compliments come, taste it but don’t relish it
So when criticism come, you won’t go down

When your eye on Jesus , people cannot influence you

Dare to say no to your friends

Be like Daniel friends .

Temple of Solomon — estimated 50 billion plus in 1920 terms

Solomon was rich but he never asked God for riches . He asked for wisdom And riches comes along

Luke 2:52 — jesus increase in wisdom then this brings favor and stature

Proverbs 3:13 – 17

V 13 Happiness comes with wisdom

V 16 length of days found in the right hand of wisdom

There are things which you can do to prolong life, Bible says. Likewise , sin also reduces life

In Hebrew mind, right hand is priority . Son of right hand. Jesus sat on right hand.

Left hand : riches and honor

Youth put priority of riches and honor on right hand ! But God wants length of days as priority

1 Kg 3:12 – 14

Solomon got riches and honor – left hand

‘walk in my ways ‘ — to lengthen days

But in NT – Jesus walked ‘in my ways ‘ and kept commandments for us .

Today don’t pursue wisdom without Jesus

Today Church has right hand

Isaiah – word shall not return to me void

Pastor says he was able to share with daughter that God gives wisdom like raindrops which refresh the flowers and not send all the wisdom like a huge torrent which overwhems

James 1:5 – 7

If any of you lack wisdom . ..

The reason we don’t ask , is because we don’t think we lack wisdom
” without reproach ” — he give wisdom without scolding

you must believe when you ask for wisdom and have faith and it will manifest

However don’t have your eye on the problem , sometimes the wisdom you receive will cause you to be in position better than the desired outcome , rather than direct resolution of the problem. God will place you in a position perhaps through indirect chain of events that place you where your problem is overcome and much more.

proverbs has 31 chapters .

Proverbs 18 is today proverb .

Proverb 18:8 example speaks to the person who has irritable bowel.

‘tasty triffle’ – dangerous – produces cuts – these are tale bearers

Perhaps we have been hearing slander , worse if we hear slander about ourself

(KJV) Proverbs 3:16 Length of days [is] in her right hand; [and] in her left hand riches and honour.

(KJV) Proverbs 3:17 Her ways [are] ways of pleasantness, and all her paths [are] peace.

When we pursue Wisdom in Jesus , you receive length of days , riches and honor, pleasures and peace
