during Jesus’ time that when a person lifts the cross, that was the time the person is heading towards death.

likewise when Jesus said to lift the cross to the multitude, the ppl will face alot of rejections and disownment from their families. it is really like facing a death penalty from the family or friends, etc..

let’s live life in the light of eternity

Romans 6:1-3
certainly not – this is a very strong statement coming from Paul.

in Christ, all things are held together. we are integrated with Jesus

when we accepted Jesus Christ, we have already died on the cross.

Acts 21:16 (KJV)
the word ‘disciple’ is used 200 times in the gospel.
books of acts it appears only 30 times.
in the epistles, it doesn’t appear at all.

disciple means a learner, and there’s always a rabbi.

a son can be a glorious servant but not a servant being a son.

Jesus left Heaven’s glory to come down to earth as a Saviour.

the main name that God wants us to call Him now is Father.. He wants the closest relationship with us.

whenever we call upon God using His High names like Yahweh, Jehovah, there’s a distance (barrier) between God and ourselves.

there’s always a time to call upon God using His high names but Daddy God always wants it more intimate, closer.

Paul didn’t say it’s pleonazo. Those who do not know / understand Grace will say it’s pleonazo. they do not have a revelation of Grace.

Jesus is concerned about condemnation that the people had in their hearts and minds.
Grace produces empowerment.

what can be final than death?
we are already dead to sin coz Jesus died to sin once for all (ephapax). we will still face the influence of sin but we are already dead to sin. we ought to understand there’s no condemnation even when we sin coz Jesus died to that sin once for all.

sin offering is the most holy of all the other offerings.

even when we fail, dun accept the penalty, the guilt, the condemnation.

Instead, confess that we are still the righteousness of God in Christ.

Jesus believes that when no condemnation is given, it will empower the people to sin no more.
–> we are cut off from condemnation

Romans 6:11-18
once the moment we do not condemn ourselves, our minds will change and live life that is reigning

condemnation is the root of all stress, depression, etc.

the moment a person starts condemning, all the bad things start operating.

God wants us to be dead to condemnation so that we can live a victorious life.
the healing here is physical healing.
we will experience healing once the moment we are free from condemnation, and sin consciousness.

once a person knows that he is forgiven, he will come to a posture to receive healing, to live a victorious life.

Follow the Lord! No condemnation!

Grace produces empowerment!

God is always unfairly good to us!
Sowing n reaping is still God’s work!

Jesus died young so that we can live long. He clothed us with His righteousness!

The more the demand, the more the supply! Keep it flowing and it will be flowing!!

The power of multiplication takes place when we sow.

Right believing equal to right living.

Money is like water, it does not move, it becomes stagnant.

In those days when someone take up the cross was on their way to be crucified. To put Jesus first, our parents and work will not suffer!

Don’t be slave to money. Let money be slave to us.

Lets live life in the line of eternity!

Romans 6:1
1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound?

The word died means final. Died to sin.

When Christ died to sin, he no longer need to die again. He died to sin once and for all.

With Jesus in the centre, everything blessed in our life! In Christ, all things are held together!!

Jesus died to the imputation of sin.

Romans 6:1-3
1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? 2 Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it? 3 Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death?

When Jesus died, God took us to immerse into His death.

The word Disciples is used 200 times in Matt Mark Luke n John. In Acts it was used only 30 times.

In Romans it does not appear at all.

Disciples mean pupil. It indicate there is a teacher.

When Jesus came, they called Him teacher.

When Jesus died n rose, we are now in the family of God. We are now sons and daughters of God! Romans used sons and servants of God instead of disciples.

Jesus left heaven’s glory and bow down. There is glory!

The bible wants good followers. Good followers will lead to good leaders!

Follow Jesus! As long as we are following Jesus, we become very good leaders!

The law entered that the offence might abound. When sin abounded, grace abounded much more!

Jesus is concern abt us feeling shame and condemnation. He wants the word, no one condemn us! Either does Jesus condemn us!

What God put first, man cannot put last.

When there is no condemnation in conscience, we live victorious life! Grace produces empowerment!

Jesus paid it all!

The devil wanna bring reproach.

1 Samuel 17:26
Then David spoke to the men who stood by him, saying, “What shall be done for the man who kills this Philistine and takes away the reproach from Israel? For who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?”

The root word of heal is the word relax!

If the devil can make people condemned, the people get sick.

Stop accusing people even when they fail! Don’t do the work of devil.

No indifferent. We must handle but not with haste.

How r we dead to sin? Jesus died for our sins. He died to sin!

when u believe right, u live right

Whatever is true of Jesus is true of us! How did Jesus die to sin?

Reckon has to do with fact.

Jesus does not have anything in flesh to be tempted with.

Use language Bible uses.

If u r free from stress, u will look very young and feel very strong!

Even when u fail, don’t accept the penalty of condemnation. Jesus never sin in His character n conduct. Legally before God we are without condemnation n it empower us to sin no more.

Jesus was confident when He gave the woman no condemnation, it will empower her to sin no more!

who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.

Righteousness in new covenant is a gift.

The blood keeps us clean! We are always in the water. All day long we are under the “blood bath”!

Righteousness ; by whose stripe we are healed! Once u know u r forgiven, ur sicknesses are healed.

The Light of Jesus is not blinding.
The light is to show how clean we are by Jesus. How free from condemnation.

John 8:10-12
When Jesus had raised Himself up and saw no one but the woman, He said to her, “ Woman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?”
11 She said, “No one, Lord.”
And Jesus said to her, “ Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.”
12 Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “ I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”

Romans 6:9-11
knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over Him. 10 For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God. 11 Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Nothing is more final than death! We should reckon ourselves.

We have power over sin when there is no condemnation! Use our weapons!

Reckon ourselves how we are died to sin.

Long before there was lack, sickness, Adam was condemned. He was afraid of God.

Romans 8:1
1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

-> This is doorway to the life!

Jesus walk among the sick, they are healed! Jesus won’t get contaminated.

Jesus uses the weapon of righteousness – us!

The more we try to die to sin, the more it is alive.

We are already dead to sin, not trying.

Australian lady- w two kids and elder girl has been rebelling. The girl moved out. Had undergone cold war w them. Tried everything- being strict, being nice. Single mom who made much sacrifices. Felt angry and disappointed. She decided to give over parenting to Daddy God. Listened to PP’s sermon. Partook of communion daily and recognised Jesus is the source of love that will bring her kid home. Watched sermon together with her and partook communion together for the first time. Girl decided to move home.

Ovarian Cancer patient started attending NCC and came to ustd the significance of the holy communion. Declared that God I know u see my little faith and that by the stripes of Jesus I am healed. Took communion for the first time over her cancer marker test before taking it. Her cancer marker level went back to normal.

Things are happening in the House of God. Not just here but all over the world where grace is being preached.

Free from condemnation= victorious life.
Where Sarah prevails, u won’t need Hagar to raise Isaac.

U can’t find GIVE in the ten commandments.

Practicing grace doesn’t mean breaking the law. The law presupposes your strength, obedience and effort. Grace says I AM HERE TO TAKE OVER.

Even though the need is there, we haven’t held miracle seed Sundays for two years because didn’t feel the leading to conduct any. But feeling leading for miracle seed Sundays from 19/8-3/9. Three Sundays and this is only for NCCers and those who have seen God’s hand in this. Not for everybody and for people outside. When God moves in your heart and gives you a sum. You get a chance to put a seed in the ground. If you don’t feel led, do not have to give. If no revelation, no need to give.

God never asks you for the harvest or the tree but the seeds. God will take care of the harvest and the trees. The seed in your storehouse doesn’t have the power to reproduce. When seed goes in the ground, the resurrection power of the seed is able to act. God is unfairly good all the time. We plant a seed but we do not get back a seed.

Sowing and reaping is still God’s method. Even though there have been abuse or counterfeiting of this biblical principle.

The more a lactating woman gives baby milk, the more milk supply she has. When she doesn’t give the baby, the supply ceases. Keep it flowing and it will flow.

Living waters- water that flows.

For those who don’t believe in prosperity. To prosper doesn’t mean to be greedy. There are people who are not prospering & who are greedy.

When the sinners came to Jesus, He experienced rest.

To believe in Jesus in those days, you literally have to carry your cross. People would get disowned by their family for acknowledging Him as messiah.

When we put Jesus first, He blesses your family as u make Him the fulcrum that sets the motion going. Because you are a believer, He will make sure that He comes to them and touches their heart before the time comes for them to go.

Pastor’s maternal aunt is a Cantonese lady and when she was going to pass away, she said Jesus came to see her and could tell them how He looked like and what He proclaims even though she had never read the bible before. He spoke to her in Cantonese!

Romans 6:1-3

When Jesus is in the centre, everything works. He holds all things together.

Cost of discipleship- deny father mother put Jesus first. Do u know when u accept Jesus, u already did that. The word disciples is used 200x in the 4 gospels. Last chapt of John, used 10x. Book of acts, used only 30x. Acts 21:16- an old disciple. Epistles – disciple doesn’t appear at all. Why? The days of Rabbi and disciples are over. Disciples means learner or pupil in Greek. Disciple means got teacher. They imbibe the character， conduct and look of their Rabbi. When Jesus came back after resurrecting, He Established sonship.

When a Son is a servant, there is glory. When a servant, is a servant there isn’t glory. A prince doesn’t have to bow down.

We call him Yahweh but the main name He wants us to know Him by is DADDY. Just like Jessica knows Pastor Prince is a pastor but doesn’t call him senior pastor. Calls him Daddy. Because there is intimacy. Ditto with Wendy. She doesn’t call him Senior Pastor.

When we reminiscent His mighty outstretched hands that saved the Jews, we recall He is Yahweh. But Jesus came to reveal His actual name to us- FATHER.

Bible wants good followers and not good leaders. A good follower is a good leader. A leader is always looking behind. A leader who follows, follows Jesus. As long as we follow Jesus, we become good leaders. Books on leadership has its place but great leadership only possible when leaders follow Jesus.

The bible says when Paul taught in Romans 5:20-21

Ten C entered that the offence might abound. Not so that holiness abounds.
But where sin increases, grace HUPERPERRISEO (superablinded and some more on top of that).

Romans 6:1-3

The Pharisees’ abound is not HUPERPERISSEO. Didn’t quote Paul correctly.

How can GRACE, the medicine that is supposed to kill the disease, feed the disease? – Calvin

The grace we preach brings forth the character of Christ.

Law- There are people who don’t steal who are not generous. Grace- it makes you generous!

When u sow into a ministry that is financially abusive, the LORD deals with the person who abused the ministry but gives you who sowed, the harvest because you sowed in obedience to Him.

Jesus who saved the adulteress- asked HE WHO IS WITHOUT SIN, CAST THE FIRST STONE. Jesus is concerned not about condemning her but whether she is still feeling condemned or accused. And she replied, NO ONE LORD. And His reply is NEITHER DO I CONDEMN U. GO AND SIN NO MORE.

We don’t condemn first then people can go and sin no more. Empower people to lead victorious lives. The church today sadly gets it wrong and demands the opposite.

Grace produces empowerment by the revelation of NO condemnation that is unmerited and undeserved.

V12- SHALL NOT is Ou Me- Double negative. You simply cannot walk in darkness when you are in Christ.

The light that shines in your consciences is to show how perfect His work is. Not a light to show you how sinful you are.

The first thing an angel says in the bible is always DON’T BE AFRAID. Our flesh tendency is to fear. The light that shines shows you how clean He has made u, how free of condemnation He has made u.

Many people don’t realise many of the problems they have today stems from condemnation.

Rachel couldn’t give birth by her sister was giving birth in a prolific way.

Gen 30:22-23

Rachel when she bore a son, said God has taken away her kherpah- resting upon conditions of condemnation.

The devil knows how to use half truths to put kherpah on you. David didn’t see Goliath’s physical size as a threat. He saw what Goliath said as a threat. Saw Goliath as a Kherpah to be removed. See 1Sam17:26

Healing root word is relax (in Hebrew).

If the devil can fence you from resting, he can bring illness to u. He accuses and brings reproach. Stop accusing people when they fail. U never know when u are on the other side.

When u handle sin, let there be no haste. Ps teaches leadership from Book of Leviticus. Similar teaching he uses as what Lev speaks about handling leprosy. Don’t be hasty, investigate and investigate again. No indifference. Cannot just say don’t care. Care. But don’t prejudge. Check carefully.

Remove reproach from the body of Christ. When reproach was removed, Israel won.

Romans 6:9-11

“dead to sin” here is ephapax- a aorist tense- once for all. Cannot repeat.

Dead to sin, not dying to sin.

Dead to the imputation of sin.

How did Jesus die to sin? See V10

Rom6:11- LIKEWISE—-> means IN THE SAME MANNER.

If we are erroneous in interpreting verse 10, we will interpret v11 wrongly.

For the lack of right believing, we live wrong. When we believe right, we live right.

How Jesus died to sin= how we died to sin. Accomplished fact. Nothing for you to do here. Before u can likewise, u must understand how He died.

Reckon is in Greek the word logizomai- take into account, calculate, mediate on, count over.

Reckoning has got to do with facts. Not supposing. Eg. If I reckon I have 1000 in the bank, it is becoz I know I have 1000 in the bank. Not supposing. I KNOW.

Not only are we dead, we ARE dead INDEED to sin.

What is more absolute than death?

Did Jesus die under the power and influence of sin? NO.

“The Last Temptation”- a blasphemous movie of the most heinous kind.

“tested”— when God the father sent Jesus to the wilderness it was a test to test the devil and to prove HIS SON IS THE REAL DEAL.

Did Jesus die to the imputation, guilt and penalty of sin? YES! That is how and the ONLY way Jesus died on the cross. And that is how we are dead to sin- dead to the imputation, the guilt and the penalty so we can LIVE for the GLORY of Jesus.

B careful how U talk about the cross. Jesus never bore our sins in the spirit & only did so in the body. He remained SINLESS. Not influenced by sin.

As God He punished, As Son He laid down His life, As Father He wept for there wasn’t any other way to save us.

Finish off with the guilt. Don’t accept the guilt. Confess I am the righteousness of God in Christ.

U need to understand whilst Jesus never sinned in conduct, we are never free of sin in our conduct. But God sees us as perfect in Christ. This is judicial. Not about sinless perfection for Christians.

The more a lady tried, the more she failed. She felt guilt and reproached and tried to commit suicide. And people came to see her at the hospital and brought Pastor’s CD “condemnation kills” to her. She listened and metanoia happened. Became filled with life. Pastor said she was glowing and sparkling with the life of Christ.

Now because of v11, therefore v12

Many people jump to verse 12 and finding it hard to practice 12, because don’t understand preceding two verses.

If u consider how u have died to guilt, then u can understand that is how u can let sin no more reign in u!

V13- “instruments”- literally weapons of righteousness.

What about influence and power of sin?
Sin’s power no longer over u because u are now under justification, and no longer under condemnation.

One last verse and close. Not wanting to rush this lesson.

Sickness, poverty, brokenness caused by?

Fear and stress- the cause according to the world

Condemnation- the root according to The Word

1 Peter 2:24

WE BEING DEAD TO SINS- not process of dying. DEAD.

Baby Christians say righteousness is a doing- live right, do good, speak good. But according to the Word, it is a gift. It is living conscious about this gift.

Whatever was said earlier can be summarised like this- BY WHOSE STRIPES U ARE HEALED.

Unless you understand the finality of His finished work, His death, you cannot experience the words after the “colon” (punctuation).

U cannot understand the last six words if u don’t understand what was mentioned earlier.

A person who KNOWS he is FORGIVEN is in the posture to WALK IN HIS GLORY, in a posture to LIVE RIGHT, to BE WELL.

Don’t put conditions to forgiveness. Forgive completely. Don’t bring it up again.
